Are The NPP's Greedy-Bastards Using Greedy-Bastard-Allies To Asset-Strip The Enterprise Ghana By Stealth?

Any discerning and patriotic Ghanaian, who truly loves Mother Ghana, and has ever read President Nkrumah's 28th September, 1963, speech,  at the opening of what is today know as the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), will weep, upon learning that an ex-Goldman Sachs employee,  Mr. Asante Berko, a rogue dismissed by his American employers for breaking the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), has been appointed to head the state-owned TOR.
How is that possible, in a regime led by the honest and principled President Akufo-Addo, I ask? For those of us who believe in President Akufo-Addo, and support him 100 percent, this is untenable.

The question we must all ponder over is: Where in the world would this be allowed to happen, without the media demanding  that his appointment be immediately rescinded - and swiftly call for a Parliamentary inquiry into how such a dubious character came to be appointed to such a sensitive position, by the executive branch of government?

The Ghanaian media is letting our nation down terribly, in egregiously neglecting to play  its societal watchdog role, effectively, to the extend that some of those in power can be so bold, as to foist such an amoral, greed-filled and shameless man - who  totally lacks a moral-compass, and has such criminal-tendencies - to head TOR,  in a New Patriotic Party  (NPP) regime, which used Mahama-era corruption as it's central election campaign strategy,  to ride to power, in the December 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The appointment of Asante Berko, illustrates perfectly,  the grain of truth in the bush-telegraph stories that President Akufo-Addo's powers,  are being systematically  hijacked by the greedy bastards in the NPP, to enable them use greed-filled individuals sympathetic to their party, to asset-strip the enterprise Ghana by stealth. This disreputable  greedy-bastard, would never have been appointed, and approved, by President Akufo-Addo, personally, ever.  Full stop.

Yet, as we speak, somehow, he is in position heading TOR, today. Amazing. Clearly, the NPP's greedy bastards are using greedy-bastard-allies to fulfill their secret  agenda of transferring what belongs to all Ghanaians,  to a greedy and powerful few,  by stealth,  in the NPP. Eeiiii, Oman Ghana, eyeasem ooooo - enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa! Hmmmm. Yooooo...

Do We Need A New Kind Of Politics - One Underpinned By A Focus On The welfare Of The Citizenry: And Well-Being Of Mother Nature?

Has the time not come for us to stop looking at successful management of our national economy,  solely  in terms of GDP growth - without considering what actually constitutes the economic activities contributing to that growth: and its impact on common-good-human-welfare and the well-being of both Mother Ghana and Mother Nature?

If,  as is currently the case, in the orthodox system of economic management and planning for national development, we are counting the gold sales from galamsayers as part of our GDP growth,  and it is resulting in the poisoning of soils,  streams,  rivers, groundwater and other water bodies, across our homeland Ghana by illegal gold miners,  is that not sheer stupidity, and utter madness?

The time has now  come for the measurement of what is regarded by society, as successful economic management by governments of the day, to be discussed in terms of its overall impact on the quality of life of our people, and incremental improvements in the living standards of all Ghanaians.

For example, are slums across Ghana  being torn down by a sitting President's regime, after new planned green cities have been built, to house slum-dwellers nationwide to promote and  increase the resilience of our system  - because slums remain hotspots of all manner of dangerous pathogens, even when the majority of the population develop herd-immunity after pandemics, and therefore are seen as posing existential public-health-threats to society at large, which could wipe out our national economy completely?

If any Ghanaian leader's  government does that, and gets the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to create digital accounts with it, into which GHC200, 000 each are then deposited, as 50-year mortgages, meant to enable every Ghanaian family - regardless of their finances or lack thereof - to own their own homes, in those new green cities - paid for by installment mortgage payments of a minimum of GHC200  (that also count as monthly rent payments), to the BoG, would that not be a better metric for measuring successful management of the economy of Ghana? Haaba.

As that people-centered-policy would definitely  result in increased happiness amongst what is a mostly hardworking and aspirational population - it would be regarded and  counted as the most important metric of successful economic development, by the vast majority of Ghanaians:  in the new post-COVID-19 era of green low carbon development.

As a people, we need a new kind of politics that seeks the twin-ends of empowering citizens in all strata of society, and  preserving and enhancing the natural environment across the length and breadth of our homeland Ghana. Enough is enough.

We must rid ourselves of the old kind of politics - and replace it with a new kind of politics - one underpinned by a focus on the welfare of the citizenry and overall well-being of Mother Nature, by the managers of tge national economy. Hmmmm. Yooooo... Eeiiii,  Oman Ghana - enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa!

Let Us Think Creatively When Faced With Existential Challenges - A Quick Note To Peter Agbeko

Good point, Peter Agbeko. Yes,  we do need to think outside the box,  as a people,  in dealing with this dreadful public health emergency and economic-existential-threat, which  we currently  face. In my humble view, we need to utilise the skills and ingenuity of the disciplined men and women in the  Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), during such national emergencies.

I once suggested, for example, that the military take over the Ghana Water Compny Limited (GWCL),  if we were ever to get it to actually serve the Ghanaian masses - as opposed to benefitting criminal syndicates.

Apparently,  that state-owned entity,  according to bush-telegraph sources, exists solely to enrich a ruthless value-chain-mafia - made up of GWCL insiders, with links to  water tanker owners, sachet-water producers, various chemical sellers and sundry contractors.  Imagine that web of corruption holding us to ransom in a more serious pandemic.  It doesn't bear thinking, Massa.

In typical Ghanaian fashion, the calcified-minds that thought it  was a stupid idea, set about embarking on a social-media-whispering-campaign of innuendos, to make fun  of it - but it was all like water off a duck's back to me: and I ignored it and refused to take the subtle-bait, each time those stealth- insults were posted  on Facebook, by the cowards, who tagged me on my Facebook wall. The sods.

The  GAF ought to be tasked to help in the development of our country whenever a disciplined and corruption-free approach to nation-building is required in an emergency. The question we must ponder over is: Instead of ruining the infrastructure of public second cycle schools, why not rather task tbe GAF to build field hospitals in all the district capitals?

And, to compliment that,  why not empower  private-sector funeral homes to also build crematoriums  in all  the district capitals, in private public partnerships (PPP), with District Assemblies - in order to implement a new policy of mandatory cremations of the dead in Ghana: in a move away from the no-longer-sensible tradition of burying the dead, which  actually represents  storing up future-pandemic-trouble, in a sense? Haaba.

It makes no sense to continue burying dead people, whose mortal remains might, or might not be, full of  dangerous pathogens, in body bags that might in effect be  veritable  potential-pandemic-banks  -  as was done to victims of Ebola  and Lassa fever in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Surely, body bags  could start  leaking and leach into groundwater,  streams, rivers and soils across Ghana, and then go on to wipe out millions in future? Let us think creatively when  faced with challenges of an existential nature. Ebeiiii. Yooooo.Hmmmm, Oman Ghana eyeasem ooooo - asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa.

Was The Removal Of Professor Frimpong-Boateng As Head Of The Inter-Ministerial Committee On Illegal Mining A Huge Error Of Judgement?

"Earth Day 2020 theme: Climate Action
The enormous challenges — but also the vast opportunities — of acting on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary. Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable."

                       --  Earth Day Network.

As this year's Earth Day, Wednesday, 22 April,  2020, approaches, one can't help but lament over the lack of commitment on the part of so many members of our nation's political class, to the preservation of our nation's remaining forests, and halting the abominable abuse and destruction  of ecosystems nationwide,  by illegal gold miners, with such impunity.

In a sense, illegal gold miners  actually pose a threat to public health in Ghana, because they poison our soils, streams, rivers and groundwater sources, with heavy metals and toxic chemicals  - in addition to being potential morphed-rebel-force-warlords and myrmidon-foot-soldiers.

Across the length and breadth of Ghana, their unlawful activities  increase the turbidity of increasingly heavily-polluted rivers, sourced by the Ghana Water Company (GWCL), for treating to supply potable water to the general public,  through its pipeline distribution networks across the nation. Sometimes that turbidity even results in the shutting down of some of the GWCL's  treatment plants.

At a time when we are fighting COVID-19, and ought to ensure that water flows through household taps across the nation,  it is such an  unfortunate development that the one member of President Akufo-Addo's government, with the strength of character, and moral courage, to  face down galamsayers, has been made a sacrificial lamb: and removed from his position as the chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining. Pity.

Alas, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng's removal, had been sought by those powerful and dishonest individuals in the ruling New Patriotic Party  (NPP), who profit so mightily from illegal gold mining, from day one -  right from the very moment he was appointed to head the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, by President Akufo-Addo.

The plain and  brutal truth is that the aforementioned NPP bigwigs profiting from galamsey, have always wanted the removal of the principled and honest stumbling-block, Professor Kwabena Frimping Boateng, whose honesty was such an impediment to their  greedy ambitions.  The sods.

I have never been ashamed to point out publicly, that although I loathe his party, I support President Akufo-Addo 100 percent, because of his commitment to preserving our natural heritage. However,  the question we must all ponder over now  is: Are we to believe the bush-telegraph anecdotal-story that President Akufo-Addo  has become the  Jubilee House prisoner, of a super-ruthless-mafia, who are now ruling our country by stealth,  in his name, from behind the scenes? Hmmmm. Yooooo...

And, perchance, is it the case that whiles the President goes around the country, wowing highly-intelligent educated-illiterates  with his posh accent,  reading speeches written for him by cynical philistines, bad actors are in the meantime taking advantage of his absence, and doing bad things to our country, and presenting it as a fait accompli to the President, as some allege?

Perhaps it is all pure nonsense on bamboo stilts by conspiracy theorists, but an example such people often give, is the disconnect between the president's fine words in his speeches, about the health of our forests, which are invariably at variance with the true state of our natural capital - especially that of the all-important and critical (for the well-being of the millions who depend on its vital ecosystem services), Atewa Forest Reserve.

Sadly, the realities on the ground, as opposed to the nice words contained  in President Akufo-Addo's speeches, make most decent folk cringe when they hear those presidential speeches.

That is  because they are words that unfortunately make the President (a good and decent human being who actually cares about the natural environment unlike most Ghanaian politicians),  appear unfairly to be a devious man, who speaks with a forked-tongue - and is allegedly an untruthful soul: judging by the ongoing brutal-gang-rape of Mother Nature, across Ghana.

That is why the removal of Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, as head of the Inter-Ministerial Committee On Illegal Mining, was such a huge error of judgement on the part of the leader of the current regime in power, in Ghana, today. Pity. Hmmm, Oman Ghana, eyeasem ooooo - enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa, ooooo. Yooooo. Hmmmm...

Will Big And Expensive Funerals Still Be A Part Of The Post-COVID-19 Era In Ghana?

It appears that there are still some Ghanaians who don't understand that as a result of COVID-19,  life as we used to know it, is over for good. I was horrified to hear a bush-telegraph anecdotal-story, in which an Abusuapanin was heard  saying that he wouldn't allow a grieving retired husband to bury his dear wife, when not more than 25 people can attend her burial.

Consequently, the deceased wife's body had to be kept in the mortuary:  till the COVID-19 emergency restrictions are lifted, and he, the  almighty family head, can attend the burial too. Incredible. The question is: Are some Ghanains still not yet aware that big funerals, like all mass social-gatherings of people, are potential hotspots for the spread of contagion? Ebeeii.

Simply put, that arrogant-sod wouldn't allow a grieving husband to bury his wife, at an inconvenient  time - when not more than 25 people can attend her burial: so her body had to be kept in the mortuary, till the COVID-19 emergency restrictions are lifted, and he, the  confounded family head, can attend the burial too. Incredible. Talk about living in cloud-cockoo-land.

It is a classic example of how as a people  we are addicted to huge funerals for dead people - many of whose struggles and concerns  while alive, elicited neither compassion nor tangible and practical assistance, from their surviving blood relations - who suddenly find champion-Agyemangs  to fight for their 'dignity': with big funerals that the extended family clan have no intention of actually funding themselves, but still want to have direct command-and-control-powers over. Amazing.

For their own good, such people had better understand clearly  that the post-COVID-19 world,  will be one in which the old ways of having big funerals, will not be a part of. Definitely. And some of us modest folk thank God Almighty for that. Hmmmm, Oman Ghana, eyeasem ooooo - asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa. Hmmmm. Yooooo...

In Financial Terms Is The COVID-19 Pandemic A Force-Majeure-Situation?

It is said that up to a third of the global workforce will suffer financial losses as a result of the effects on national economies of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, the UK newspaper,  The Daily Telegraph,  published an article in its online digital edition, entitled: "A billion workers to lose out as virus ravages jobs market".
According to the story: "One-third of the global workforce is expected to suffer financial hardship as the coronavirus destroys jobs, cuts working hours and slashes pay."

Clearly, there will be a slow down in economic activities globally - as the virus spreads to more and more  nations: whose economies are then negatively impacted because every day life is turned upside down by the virus and the measures taken to contain it, such as lockdowns lasting weeks.

In light of the likely negative impacts of the lockdowns, and that of other measures taken by the government, on our national economy - such as the free three months supply  of potable water to households nationwide -  it is vital that extraordinary measures are put in place, to ensure that Ghana's economy doesn't grind to a halt.

The question we all ought to ponder over is: How can we in good faith be expected to continue paying the coupons on our issued sovereign bonds - when the COVID-19 pandemic amounts to a newly-arisen force-majeure-situation?

Furtheremore, our Chinese ally, too, must move rapidly to help it's partners in sub-Saharan Africa, continue growing, by halting all interest payments on loans owed it by nations in the continent - converting them into long-term interest free loans with five-year moratoriums: because the selfsame force majeure that COVID-1 represents, applies to all Chinese loans, be they private sector, or public sector loans.  Haaba.

Let Us Take Better Care Of Our Health - By Growing And Eating Only Organic Food In Ghana

Dr. Shiva, the American scientist who invented email,  is a brilliant and decent-minded  scientist, with a social conscience,  who has his thinking cap firmly  on. He has made it quite plain, in a YouTube video interview that has gone viral, that COVID-19 is an illness to do with the immune system. Strong immune systems keep it at bay and helps those infected by it, to fight it and recover eventually.

Based on that, the question we ought to ponder over is: As an intelligent people, should we not stop destroying our immune systems, in Ghana, by switching  to eating organic foods  -  just like our forefathers' did  before  the first Europeans (from Portugal)  set foot on our shores,  in 1471?

In furtherance of that priority national security objective, one of the first things the Ghanaian government ought to do, after COVID-19 is finally defeated (in order to aid the economic recovery in Ghana),  is to enter into a private public partnership (PPP), with Apostle Kojo Safo Kantanka, to build the world's biggest manufacturing  plants:  to produce the natural growth mediums;  organic folair fertilisers; and natural pesticides that he uses in his organic farming business.

Naturally,  before they start production in earnest, as an emergency national security measure, a total ban must immediately  be placed on the manufacture and importation of all synthetic fertilisers,  and chemical pesticides, for sale locally. They are destructive to the immune systems of our bodies, and thus pose huge threats to  public health, across Ghana. Enough is enough. Let us take better care of our health - by eating only organic food. Cool.

A Quick Note To Frances Separovic - 1st Professor Emeritus & Professorial Fellow, University of Melbourne

Dear Professor Emeritus Frances Separovic,

One has come to understand the power and influence wielded, globally, by the fossil fuel industry. Such is the baleful influence  they have over governments worldwide that it has been virtually impossible to bring what is a truly game-changing clean power invention, to market.

Yet, Raphael  Afordoanyi's serendipitous cutting-edge off-grid clean power invention, will ensure that humankind avoids reaching the climate-change-tipping-point-of-no-return, by providing the world with off-grid, emission-free  clean power that never goes off, and produces electricity at half current tariff rates charged globally, by the fossil-fuel-powered electricity generating   sector.

In view of its importance in empowering societies worldwide to switch to 100 percent renewable energy, I have decided to put this missive to you, in the public domain, so that fear of being scammed does not arise in introducing Raphael's invention to you, and seeking your assistance in  bringing it to the attention of Windlab.

It is my belief  that through you, Raphael's game-changing invention, will be brought to the attention of the The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation's (CSIRO) renewable energy spin-off, Windlab - for which it would be transformative technology that dramatically makes its mothballed wind farms in the U.S. and Australia, profit-centres.

Raphael, who is currently overseas,  could be contacted through his partner, Eugene Kofi Boakye-Yiadom - the CEO of the  Legon Botanical Gardens, at the University of Ghana, Legon, who is Ghana's foremost green entrepreneur - with the assistance of the Australian High Commission in Ghana and Interpol.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Kofi.

If Young Achievers And Self-Made Individuals Dominated Ghana's Political Parties, Would That Lead To A Prosperous Ghana?

The story of the former Mahama-era District Chief Executive (DCE), of the Fanteakwa District, Hon. Abaas Fuseini  Sbaabe, is an interesting one. It is an inspiring tale  of a self-made man from very humble beginnings, who apparently was born and grew up in Begoro.

Perhaps had social media been around,  at the time he started out on his journey to the top,  as a precocious and talented 14-year old embroidery designer, at Begoro, he would have probably ended up as  a celibrity and YouTube star, raking in zillions online as an influencer, in short order.

When such brilliant achievers (from across the political spectrum) enter the world of Ghanaian politics,  and focus on creating and growing an entrepreneurial culture amongst our younger generations (as their main area of interest in politics), and put the national interest, ahead of party advantage, always,  Ghana will prosper. For sure.

For, it is  that mindset that moulds the young politicians who eventually become perfect nation-builders, and ideally ought to end up in key  leadership positions in their parties - as leaders who always see the big picture: the empowerment of those in the base-of-the-pyramid demographic to bootstrap their way out of the poverty trap.

That makes for stability and national cohesion, as it fosters inclusiveness  in society, and lowers social tensions between the different social classes,  nationwide. We ought to have more of such achievers and self-made  individuals in all the political parties in Ghana - whose wisdom and open-mindedness will enable them dominate their parties. That will end the abominable-parochial-politiking tearing our nation apart, so egregiously.

That is the sure-fire way to rid our country of endemic poverty and make ours a prosperous society with a can-do spirit - blessed with an aspirational citizenry and independent-minded politicians: with the nous and gumption to cope with, and overcome, existential threats such as galamsey, illegal sandwinning, the abominal illegal logging contributing to rapid-deforestation across Ghana, and, above all, COVID-19. If  young achievers and self-made individuals dominated Ghana's political parties, it would definitely lead to a prosperous Ghana.

Crazy Ideas To Confront And Defeat COVID-19 - A Crazy Existential Threat To Mother Ghana?

The lockdown to contain COVID-19 must  be  carried out now, nationwide, for a month. And digital money created by the Bank of Ghana  ought to be deposited into new accounts with it for all Ghanaians, to enable them cope with this sudden and dramatic disruption to their lives.

At least GHC2000 of the new BoG digital money should be deposited into every account, once the digital currency is created. It is the only way we will avoid catastrophe during the strictly enforced lockdown.

Faced with a virus that has the potential to kill millions of Ghanaians, and which can be prevented from infecting our people, by the simple act of washing hands under running water from taps,  it is intolerable that public-sector employees tasked to produce and distribute potable water, lack the gumption and nous to do so, in such perilous times,  regardless of the challenges they face. They have failed our nation.

That is why the Engineers Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces  (GAF), must take over the Ghana Water Company Limited  (GWCL),  as soon as practicable - and ensure that Ghanaians have water nationwide.

Mining on streams, rivers and other water bodies across Ghana must be banned forthwith  - and a shoot-to-kill policy to deal with all galamsayers adopted.

Using Raphael Afordoanyi's serendipitous game-changing clean power invention (for which he must be suitably compensated now, and given ownership of again, after the emergency is over), the military engineers, together with Raphael Afordoanyi, must collaborate to build desalination plants along our coastline, which will be able to produce potable water and truly affordable power, for  all Ghana's coastal cities and towns, going forward into the future.

Raphael's invention will lower the production costs of the GWCL's other river-dependent production plants dramatically, too.

Finally, all the above will doubtless sound nonsensical to most clever people in Ghana, but  extraordinary challenges of an existential nature, demand extreme solutions that won't make any sense to logical minds trained in our chew-and-pour educational system - but are indeed real and perfect solutions for the clear and present danger COVID-19 poses to our survival as a people. These are crazy ideas for dealing with a crazy existential threat to our nation and its people.  Hmmmm, yoooo...

NoMoreFakeNews/Jon Rappoport: Coronavirus: toxic drugs, no liability for pharma

Coronavirus: toxic drugs, no liability for pharma
(To read about Jon's mega-collection, The Matrix Revealed, click here.)
First, we have this, from the World Health Organization (WHO): "There is no specific medicine to prevent or treat coronavirus disease (COVID-19)."

Nevertheless, doctors around the world, often with the approval of their national governments, are treating many patients with experimental or "off-label" antiviral drugs.

Here are some names of the medicines: Chloroquine, Remdesivir, Ribavirin, favipiravir, lopinavir; ritonavir, hydroxychloroquine, Sofosbuvir, corticosteroids, oseltamivir, zanamivir.

They all have adverse effects.

What to do?

Answer: decide that no one who is injured by the drugs can file a suit.

In America: Done.

From druganddevicelawblog[dot]com, March 18, 2020, "We Finally Have Something To Say About COVID-19":

"On March 17, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ("HHS") published in the Federal Register a 'notice of declaration' conferring broad-based immunity from tort (including product liability) litigation for those engaging in 'activities related to medical countermeasures against COVID-19.'  This declaration is now published at 85 Fed. Reg. 15198 (HHS March 17, 2020)."

"HHS is conferring tort immunity...The immunity extends to 'any claim of loss caused by, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from the manufacture, distribution, administration, or use of medical countermeasures'...The immunity extends not only to COVID-19-fighting drugs, but also to 'products or technologies intended to enhance the use or effect of a drug, biological product [vaccine], or device used against the pandemic'...The only exception is for 'willful misconduct'."

"The immunity being conferred shoves other federal laws aside as well as preempting state law."

And that takes care of that.

A patient is given an antiviral drug and dies?  No law suit can be filed.  Anyone associated with the drug, from manufacturer down to prescribing doctor, is exempt from liability.

Take one example of a drug, Chloroquine.  It's approved for the treatment of malaria, and now some doctors are using it on their COVID patients.  From webmd[dot]com, here is the "side effects" section:

* "Blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, headache, and diarrhea may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly."

* "Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects."

* "Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: bleaching of hair color, hair loss, mental/mood changes (such as confusion, personality changes, unusual thoughts/behavior, depression), hearing changes (such as ringing in the ears, hearing loss), darkening of skin/tissue inside the mouth, worsening of skin conditions (such as dermatitis, psoriasis), signs of serious infection (such as high fever, severe chills, persistent sore throat), unusual tiredness, swelling legs/ankles, shortness of breath, pale lips/nails/skin, signs of liver disease (such as severe stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine), easy bruising/bleeding, muscle weakness, unwanted/uncontrolled movements (including tongue and face twitching)."

* "This medication may rarely cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Tell your doctor right away if you develop symptoms of low blood sugar, such as sudden sweating, shaking, hunger, blurred vision, dizziness, or tingling hands/feet. If you have diabetes, be sure to check your blood sugars regularly. Your doctor may need to adjust your diabetes medication."

* "Get medical help right away if you have any very serious side effects, including: severe dizziness, fainting, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, seizures."

* "This medication may cause serious eye/vision problems. The risk for these side effects is increased with long-term use of this medication (over weeks to years) and with taking this medication in high doses. Get medical help right away if you have any symptoms of serious eye problems, including: severe vision changes (such as light flashes/streaks, difficulty reading, complete blindness)."

* "A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing."

* "This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist."

No liability.  No law suits.  No problem.

Except for the patient.

An Update For Australia's Mirreco

Dear Mirreco,

Ghana's Parliament just  passed a Bill into an Act to legalise  the growing of industrial hemp in Ghana: https://www.graphic.com.gh/news/general-news/ghana-news-ghana-parliament-passes-narcotics-control-commission-bill.html.
(So, in effect, the government of Ghana has now provided the legal framework, for companies such as Mirreco,  to partner it in public private partnerships (PPP), in infrastructure projects across the country.)

The new legislation thus secures for companies such as Mirreco,  their sources of raw materials, in Ghana. And,  as it happens,  there are longterm funds in the pensions and  insurance industries that could be tapped too, for projects across the country.

Furthermore, as COVID-19 has shown, planned well-designed  and well-built green cities and towns, are needed to enable urban  slum dwellers - whose living conditions will always make them hotspots of dangerous viruses -  to move into areas that will have the infrastructure that will make them better suited to benefit from public health measures taken to contain viruses that have the potential to wreck national economies. That is an opportunity for Mirreco in Ghana.

And, if Raphael Afordoanyi's serendipitous game-changing clean power invention is finally brought to market, the affordable electricity will turbocharge the economies of nations worldwide, creating sustainable growth that is low-carbon in nature, ensuring lower costs for companies like Mirreco, too.

So do get Windlab to contact Eugene Kofi Boakye-Yiadom for an introduction to his partner Raphael, who is currently overseas. Wish you well - and do stay safe and drink lots of warm lemon (from sliced lemonds in mugs!) to protect and boost your immune systems to deal with COVID-19. Cool.

Warmest regards,

Kofi.

Mercola.com/Dr. Joseph Mercola: Immune-Boosting Vegetable Soup

Immune-Boosting Vegetable Soup

Recipe From PaleoHacks
Hippocrates, the father of medicine, once said, “Let food be thy medicine.” Indeed, consuming the right types of food can have a significant impact on your well-being and may even help you restore your health with a plethora of nutrients and synergistic components.
However, when talking about using food for healing, remember that we’re talking about real food — whole, non-GMO varieties that are ideally organic and locally grown — and not the processed junk you see on supermarket shelves. Hence, it’s always a smart idea to stock your pantry with fresh whole foods all year-round.
If you need a boost to help your immune system stay robust during these cold winter months, here’s a delicious soup recipe from PaleoHacks that you can whip up at home. The list of ingredients may be intimidating, but it’s definitely worth the trouble and effort, as the variety of vegetables, plus herbs and spices, will help ramp up your immunity and keep you protected from illnesses.
Immune-Boosting Vegetable Soup
Cook Time:20 to 25 minutes Serving Size: 4
Ingredients
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes, peeled and deseeded
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Fresh Organic Vegetables Are Always a Top Choice for Optimal Health

Aside from providing different textures and flavors to this dish, all of the vegetables used in this dish have their own set of nutritional components that may help improve your immune function. For example:
  • Purple cabbage, also known as red cabbage, is loaded with L-glutamine, an amino acid that may help heal the soft tissue that lines your intestines. Like its green counterpart, it also boasts of nutrients like thiamin, calcium, magnesium, folate, manganese, riboflavin, iron and vitamin K, among others — all of which may have protective immune benefits.
The George Mateljan Foundation, a not-for-profit which focuses on helping people eat and cook more healthfully, further highlights the immune-boosting potential of red cabbage:1
"Like all unique and nourishing foods, there are differences in the nutrients they offer. For example, some red cabbages contain almost twice the vitamin C as some green cabbages. Red cabbages are always richer in anthocyanins (flavonoid phytonutrients) that not only act as antioxidants but also function as supporters of the immune system. Green cabbages, on the other hand, have substantially more folate."
  • Kale, a well-recognized "superfood" that recently has been skyrocketing in popularity, is loaded with antioxidants and healthy fiber. It’s also one of the top sources of vitamins A and K, the latter of which promotes skin and eye health, and may help keep your immune system strong.
  • Broccoli offers many health-promoting compounds. When you eat it, you're getting dozens, even hundreds, of super-nutrients that support bodywide health. One standout nutrient is sulforaphane, which is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound that’s been found to have potent anti-cancer activity. Sulforaphane acts as an immune stimulant and an anti-inflammatory as well.2
Remember that when it comes to consuming produce, fresh and certified organic varieties, bought from farmers markets or local coops, should always be your top choice. This is because eating organic not only reduces your exposure to pesticides and insecticides, but is also linked to significant health benefits.
For example, an analysis conducted by the European Parliamentary Research Service concluded that eating organic foods also improves the nutritional value of the food, lessens disease risk and enhances early childhood development.3 A separate study found that eating foods that are organically grown may lead to a reduced risk of Type 2 diabetes and obesity.4

Herbs and Spices Complement the Vegetables in Terms of Taste and Nutrition

The problem with making soup is that if you don’t add the right ingredients, it may come out bland and unappetizing. Here’s where herbs and spices come in — they not only add a flavorful punch to any dish, but also help ramp up its nutritional profile. In this recipe’s case, its immune-boosting potential is “spiced up” by several different ingredients. Take a look at what these handy “flavor enhancers” can offer you:
  • Turmeric, a potent yellow spice popular in Indian cuisine, has over 150 therapeutic properties, including antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. This is due to its active ingredient, curcumin.
  • Garlic has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic properties, all of which can help improve immune function. In fact, there are studies that show how garlic can impact over 160 different diseases.5
  • Ginger offers broad-spectrum antibacterial, antioxidant, antiviral and antiparasitic properties — just a few of its 40 pharmacological actions. It may help protect against respiratory viruses6 and help ease drug-resistant fungal and bacterial infections.7
  • Cinnamon’s health benefits are said to resonate throughout your body. An in-depth review published in 2014, found that, aside from exhibiting antimicrobial activity against infections like E.coli, it may have an effect against diabetes, inflammation, dementia and neurological disorders, to name a few.8,9
  • Cayenne pepper, aside from its impressive amounts of capsaicin, contains high levels of immunity-boosting vitamin C.

For a More Healthful Soup, You Can Use Bone Broth

This recipe makes use of vegetable broth, but if you’d like to further improve your soup’s nutritional profile, you can also use homemade broth made from bones of organically raised, pastured or grass fed animals. Bone broth contains chondroitin sulfates, glucosamine and other compounds, which can help reduce joint pain and inflammation, among other benefits.
