We Need Compassionate And Idealistic Young People - If The Enterprise Ghana Is To Be Successfully Transformed

One of the saddest things for me, in what is  the sunset of my  life,  is coming across brilliant young Ghanaians, who have become hard and cynical - because they experienced hardship growing up, and, having eventually made good in life are embittered, and completely lacking in compassion.

One often comes across the hard-as-nails-comments of such young people (whose lack of compassion and worship of 'success' regardless  of how it was acquired, never ceases to amaze one), on social media platform conversations amongst  Ghanaians, at home and abroad.

And, as it happens, there are some in Ghanaian society who insist that most of  the endless NPP/NDC duopoly's propaganda battles, stem from this cynicism and lack of compassion, amongst some of our young people. We must be careful that they do not push our nation over the precipice eventually.

The cynicism of such ruthless young people, forms part of the miasma-of-cruelty enveloping social media conversations focused on contemporary Ghanaian society. Ghanaian society is unlikely to change if placed in the hands of such hard and unempathatic individuals - yet without changing as a people, our nation is doomed to stultify and retrogress.

Having been an idealist all one's life, one finds it pretty hard to be tolerant of this type of young Ghanaian. We need the idealism and compassion of good and kind individuals amongst our younger generations' talent-pool, if we are to successfully transform Ghanaian society into an African equivalent of the egalitarian societies of Scandinavia. Hmmmm. Yooooo...
