To Ghana's Parliament: Why Not Restructure Agyapa Royalties?

Honourable Members of Parliament, let us assume, for argument's sake, that the promoters of Agyapa Royalties are all saints, who want the best for the nation.

However, to protect our nation, we must also assume that in future,  some of their successors might all turn out to be thoroughly dishonest self-seekers, constantly seeking to rip our nation off.

To avoid that fate, let us not make the same mistake we made with letting go of the golden share that the state had in Ashanti Goldfields during its takeover by AngloGold.

At all costs, those managing the annual  US$200 million gold royalties must always  be accountable to Ghanaians. Full stop.

The question is: Can that not be achieved, by restructuring the company in a manner that enables all their investments to be regularly scrutinised, by Parliament?  And, when need be, should  the nation not also always have the right to sue them for fraud and lack of fiduciary care, when that is the case?

A golden share in the company too, by the state,  won't be such a bad idea either.  Honest investors, who are socially responsible, and ethical fund managers, such as  BlackRock, would welcome it. Definitely. Restructuring Agyapa Royalties is a must.

Child Trafficking: A Huge And Lucrative Business Across West Africa?

Not too long ago, the Ghanaian media reported the arrest of a Cameroonian  lady, suspected to be a child trafficker. The children in that particular instance, were picked up at a party for kids, apparently organised regularly, at the venue, by a local charitable organisation. The question is: Why did the lady claim falsely that the Ghanaian kids were refugees?

Early reports of her arrest, pointed out her initial inconsistencies about the identities of the nine children, who were saved only because a diligent police officer stopped the vehicle transporting them, to find out why it was being driven at that time of night without its headlights on.

Clearly,  it was standard procedure to disorientate the children and prevent them from observing the route they took to the house they were being sent to, because they couldn't see in the total darkness enveloping them, as they approached their destination. That would make escaping difficult for the trafficked kids.

This case, which even had foreign diplomats running interference right from the very beginning, when the suspected Cameroonian child trafficker was apprehended, must be investigated properly, to expose the network used by her to cover up the real purpose of  her cruel and vile enterprise operated from Kokrobite Hills.

In a superstition-riddled sub-region of Africa, in which some believe that  murdering children for ritual purposes, will make them rich and powerful individuals, child traffickers supply their victims. Anecdotal evidence suggests that it has made child trafficking a huge and lucrative business across West Africa.

How Can Hon. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh Leave A Legacy As Ghana's Best Ever Energy Minister?

How can Hon. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh leave a legacy as Ghana's best ever energy minister?  As we face possible melt-down of our national economy, the question we ought to be pondering over as a people is: Does cutting-edge emission-free clean power technology, exist, today, which could provide reliable electricity, at rates cheaper than that from hydro-dams, and nuclear power plants?

Yes, is the short answer. And the inventor is a Ghanaian - merchant marine chief engineer, Raphael Afordoanyi. If our ruling-élites were as open to new ideas as the current leadership of the United Arab Emirates  (UAE), are, by now, that transformative game-changing technology, would have been quickly patented globally,  by the state, for the inventor, as a public private partnership (PPP), to commercialise it globally.

And a new source of unimaginable wealth would suddenly be available to the UAE, as provider of cheap off-grid emission-free clean power technology, to power the whole world, and open a new path to prosperity for all of humankind - as nations worldwide switch to the new technology to power their economies.

If Hon. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh enables  Ghana to take advantage of Raphael Afordoanyi's game-changing off-grid  emmission-free clean power system, it will  enable Ghanaian society to be transformed into a prosperous one, in which both individuals and businesses are freed from paying taxes, permanently.

And, instead of the current economic crisis,  the cash-strapped and highly-indebted state of Ghana, would rather be in the happy situation of having more than enough money, from a new sovereign wealth fund, into which royalty-cash from its stake in the new technology would be deposited.

Would such a fund not enable the government of Ghana to provide interest-free long-term loans to all businesses that need them, fund new green cities to replace slums nationwide, build new world-class pandemic-resilient healthcare facilities, for every district in Ghana, and fund free education from kindergarten to tertiary level, as well as provide monthly universal allowances, for all needy Ghanaian families, build new railway lines and  dual carriage concrete motorways, linking all the regional capitals to Accra, for example?

Sadly, the cultural-impediment that prevents so many Ghanaians from even considering such possibilities,  is preventing the adoption of this new technology. Yet, it could do for today's Ghana, what cocoa did to underpin Ghana's initial period of prosperity as a newly independent African nation-state.

Those amoral and ruinous independent power purchase agreements currently sucking the very lifeblood out of our country, are so patently unfair, that by definition, they could only have been procured by bribing corrupt state officials.

No independent power producer with an ethical management ethos, and a social conscience, operating globally with a business model underpinned by corporate good governance principles, would have even considered,  let alone entered into such an agreement, with a heavily-indebted African nation,  in which millions struggle daily to survive. Let us end our reliance on their unreliable and expensive power, produced by a fossil-fuel powered industry, now more or less doomed and near to becoming obsolete.

With the greatest respect, Hon. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh ought to consult Raphael Afordoanyi about securing his new off-grid emission-free clean-power technology, to power Ghana's prosperity.  It can start with powering VALCO to full-capacity-production-levels. It will enable him leave a lasting legacy as Ghana's best ever energy minister.

Public Officials Serve The Sovereign People of Ghana - To Whom They Should Be Accountable At All Material Times

"The process of law that is due citizens is more than just a ritual or a procedure;  it also requires judges to ask whether the law serves public or merely private ends."

       -   Timothy Sandefur  (Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute.)

One read Nana Frema Busia's latest article entitled: "Ghana's Lack of Election Petition Wisdom at Age 64", with considerable interest. Although one acknowledges that one is only an ignorant old fool, one can indeed see the point she makes about the need for an independent audit, to authentic the absurd serial-errors made by the Electoral Commission  (EC), in its declaration of  the presidential election result. Makes sense.

A review of its own judgement on the matter,  by the Supreme Court, is  definitely needed. Be that as it may, in general, we need to understand, clearly, as a wise African people, that eternal vigilance, is truly the price for holding on to our freedoms, in this country.

Not many realise it, but regardless of which political party is in power, at any given point in time, under the 4th Republic, it is so easy for a tyranny to be established, by powerful and determined kleptocrats around sitting Presidents,  with the unwitting blessing of cynical and unpatriotic judges - yet the media don't seem to see that.  Pity.

With respect, if they genuinely believe in ensuring that ours remains a democracy, and a free African society, the media needs to make it plain, that  no self-respecting judge should tolerate the dangerous situation, whereby public officials can't be compelled to appear in the witness box, when dragged to court, to account for their stewardship. Public officials serve the sovereign people of Ghana - to whom they are, and should be,  accountable, at all material times. Simple. Case closed. Cool.

Who Born Dog: We Still Remember The Exposure Of Corrupt Judges - By The Brilliant Anas Amereyaw Anas

One finds it hard to believe that the unfortunate statements, said to have come from  the Judicial Service - and apparently said to have been aimed at the Ghanaian media, are genuine.  Massa, no one in Ghanaian officialdom, is beyond criticism, by the public, ooooo. Yooooooo...

With the greatest respect,  under our system, respect is earned - and never an automatic-right, for any public sector employee:  paid with hapless taxpayers' hard-earned cash, koraaaa, ooooo. We are not serfs. We are citizens  -  active ones.
Yooooooo...

It is crucial, therefore - for the peace and stability of our homeland Ghana - that the three arms of government,  the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, understand clearly, at all material times, that  the constitutionally guaranteed right of the media  (metaphorically our fourth arm of government),  meant to enable them play a watchdog role, for society,  by speaking truth to power  and holding our leaders to account, on behalf of the masses, is non-negotiable in our system. Full stop.  Case closed. As it happens, we all remember the shabby case of a number of corrupt judges, exposed by the brilliant investigative journalist,  Anas Amereyaw Anas, ooooo. Who born dog,  Massa? Yooooooo...

How Can We Finally Rid Mother Ghana Of The Vested Interests Corrupting Ghanaian Officialdom?

How can our country rid itself of the baleful influence of the vested interests responsible for corrupting Ghanaian officialdom? To be successful in so doing, we will need to put on our creative-thinking caps. Fast. For sure. And time is of the essence, in this matter.

To begin with, it needs to be pointed out, that there is no question that President Akufo-Addo is the best leader for Ghana's COVID-era. That is why as a wise and aspirational African people, we ought to take advantage, of that refreshing  on-the-ground-reality.

We can do so by  rallying behind  President Akufo-Addo,  and encourage him to unify our nation, for effective nation-building, by forcing him to appoint Mrs. Jean Mensah, the current chairperson of the Electoral Commission  (EC), as an ambassador. Now. Not tomorrow.  It will remove her from the political landscape - and help bring a morally untenable tension-creating-situation, to an end.

(For ordinary folk, the fact that legal-technicalities, can allow the chairperson of the EC, to get away with avoiding cross examination, by appearing in the witness box, in an open court, hearing an election petition,  is an outrage and morally indefensible.  Full stop. But I digress)

For the same reason, President Akufo-Addo, should also do same,  in the case of: Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko; Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta and Hon.Yaw Osafo Marfo. Case closed. Such a move will finally wahala-free our country's hardworking leader, and enable him to focus on his very important job, with a free mind. Cool.

For our own good, and that of Mother Ghana, we must also force President Akufo-Addo - a  wise and visionary leader, who is easily the next best elected leader, since the overthrow of the great President Nkrumah (whose equal is yet to be born, incidentally), in February 1966 -  to, as a matter of urgency, set up a national security task force, led by the Engineers Regiment, of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

Their mission, will be to prevent a new trailblazing technology, which will soon power the entire human race,  to unprecedented levels of prosperity, from leaving tbe shores of Ghana. Simple. Their immediate task, will be to convince  the genius Ghanaian inventor, Raphael Afordoanyi, to allow the Stateto fund the patenting, globally, of his serendipitous, emission-free off-grid stand-alone clean power  invention.

Once that is done,  a joint-venture special purpose private public partnership (PPP) vehicle, must be quickly established, to market Raphael Afordoanyi's game-changing, cutting-edge technology that will enable all the nations on the planet Earth, to be powered 100 percent, by emis

A Plea To Foreign Diplomats Advocating LBGTQI Rights In Ghana

Since the subject has now become such a controversial issue, what are some of the possible ways, which the representatives of foreign powers in Ghana, who are now focused on the issue of LBGTQI rights, in our country,  might show their concern, and love, for Ghana's LBGTQI demographic?

Perhaps they would be wise, to consider recommending to their governments,  the signing of a human rights treaty, with Ghana, granting our country's LBGTQIs, an automatic right, to be granted permanent residence visas, in their home countries. Simple.

A key clause in the proposed treaty, must be an irrevocable commitment, on their part,    to pay for the full relocation costs, of Ghana's LBGTQIs, to nations in the EU, Australia,  ditto the UK, the U.S., etc., etc. Cool.

Finally, the question that concerned foreign diplomats, accredited to Ghana, who are so in love with, and concerned, for, Ghana's LBGTQIs, ought to ponder over is: Will such a treaty  not be a wise move, to enable them neatly sidestep, the thorny issue of 21st century cultural imperialism  - in a nation in which marriage, and extended-family-clan traditional values, still apparently, matter? That is my humble plea to them as a humane Ghanaian  human rights advocate. Simple. It is wise to be wise in this particular matter, oooo.  Yoooooooo...

A Quick Note To Daryl Bosu - Who Calls Out Community Mining For What It Actually Is: 'Legalised Galamsay'

Thanks for sharing, Daryl. The irony, is that  in the process of creating wealth for a powerful, and well-connected few, under the guise of community mining, Akyem Abuakwa is actually being  impoverished, by the destruction of its priceless natural heritage  - the value of which would paradoxically skyrocket if the accursed gold and bauxite were left in the ground.

Massa, you have called out community mining, for what it actually is: a clever stealth-ruse to  legalise the operations of wealthy and super-ruthless galamsay-syndicates, using rural youth, as convenient-social-pawns.

We are victims at Akyem Juaso, too - where our family's freehold 14-square mile upland evergreen rainforest property has been under relentless-seige for decades, by galamsayers, chainsaw bushcut lumber producers and illegal hunters. The lawlessness and impunity we contend with, on the ground, so to speak, is hard to reconcile with the PR-hype, of a nation in which the rule of law is said to prevail, sold to the world.

Yet, we still persist in trying to implement longstanding plans for a conservation-through-ecotourism initiative, to create a sustainable green future for the area, in the face of all the egregious environmental degradation. Luckily, the younger generations of our family, who have now taken over running our landholding, in the Eastern Region, are determined to ensure a sustainsble green future, for all the rural communities that we are an integral part of, across the region.  Bless them.

Luckily, posterity can neither be intimidated nor bribed - and will judge the complict Chiefs, amongst our present-day traditional leaders, harshly:  condemning them as the worst in Akyem Abuakwa's entire history. No question. Their hypocrisy, greed,  shortsightednes and arrogance has been nothing  short of disastrous. Their lack of foresight, in failing to protect and  preserve our priceless natural heritage, from apocalyptic-galamsay, cloaked as community mining, is beyond belief. Pity.

A Quick Note To Father Joop Visser - Who Speaks His Mind And Loves Being Straightforward

Thanks for sharing, Father Joop Visser. Understand you perfectly. My humble advice: Throw caution to the wind - and be done with it. In other words, the operating-principle is: Be yourself. Simple. Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

Above all,  remember that this is a forked-tongue-society, anchored firmly on a solid-bedrock-of-hypocrisy, and enveloped by the miasma of banana-leaf-spiritually-wrapped-tradition. No question. Cool.

Never forget that, whenever you are being dragged across the coals, for speaking your mind, where injustice affecting our base-of-the-pyramid demographic, is concerned. Many will agree with you behind closed doors - but gingerly fence-sit and remain loudly-silent publicly. Beautiful country. Beautiful people. Nice. No libilaba. Cool, la...

A Quick Note To Gjenke Makers - Kenyan Circular Economy Unicorn With Continental Ambitions

Hello,

Congratulations for your marvelous and innovative award-winning circular economy venture. Brilliant.

You really ought to become an African multinational, within the next five years - and beautiful, dynamic Ghana, which is the headquarters of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),  ought to be your West African bridgehead.

To make you even more competitive, you will need an emission-free off-grid stand-alone clean power system, to  power all your factories across the continent.

In that regard, one humbly suggests that you contact the brilliant Ghanaian inventor, who is also a  marine chief engineer, Raphael Afordoanyi. This is his WhatsApp number: +233 26 974 6270. Mention me to him.

And this is my own WhatsApp number: +233576564600. I am a retired Ghanaian journalist: https://www.modernghana.com/news/962292/why-eric-ingersoll-must-now-tell-the-world-the.html.

New-Normal Global Pandemic Era: We Must Find Creative Ways Of Surviving And Thriving

As a wise and aspirational African people, we must find creative ways of surviving, and thriving, even in the midst of global pandemics. Let us take inspiration from our past in how we treat our priceless natural capital. In the past we lived in harmony with nature - and had  mostly healthy and happy communities.

It is a real pity that in pursuit of unthinking-and-unselective-GDP-growth (at all costs), we have ended up becoming a society, which  permits a powerful few, with greedy ambitions - to paraphrase the farsighted  President Nkrumah - to destroy forests,  poison soils,  streams,  major river systems  and groundwater, across vast swathes of the GhanaIan  countryside, with total impunity.

The destruction of forests,  on the scale we are now witnessing, will, by definition, mean that we will always be a society constantly grappling with pandemics - as the destruction of habitats and biodiversity loss, bring along with them,  zoonotic diseases,  as viruses from wild animals, species-cross, to infect humans.

It is important, therefore, that rather than be lulled into a false sense of security, by the availability, and procurement, of vaccines,  we rather focus on building consensus, and  unite, to transform our country into a heavily-aboreal one, which is always battle-ready, to fight and survive global pandemics. The protocols designed to enable us stay safe, during such global pandemics,  ought to become our new-normal way of life.

That will mean, for example, that when we design and construct new military camps, as well as barracks for the other security agencies, schools,  hospitals, markets,  shopping malls, private and public residential accommodation in new green communities;  ditto our mobility sector, we must  take into account and design  survival-and-resilience-protocols for global pandemics, into all such projects.

Above all, clearly, super-spreader-events, such as:  massive political party campaign rallies; large funerals; weddings; packed religious services; parties; mammoth traditional festivals, and the like, can no longer continue to be part of our lives, anymore.

Vaccines, can only be an addition to our pandemic-survival-arsenal, like nose masks, hand-washing,  razing down slums that are potential infection-hotspots, for viruses, nationwide, and relocating their  residents to new pandemic-ready and climate-change-resilient green communities. In the new-normal global pandemic era, as an aspirational African people, we must find creative  and  innovative ways of surviving, and thriving.

A Quick Note To The Founders Of The Little Market - America's Most Ethical Social-Impact Entrepreneurs

 Greetings,

Thank you so much, for the wonderful business model used by your team, to empower so many artisans, in all the continents of our biosphere.

Yours, is a perfect example, of how caring and empathic entrepreneurs, can  create mutually beneficial opportunities, which enable marginalised base-of-the-pyramid demographics in the world's emerging nations, to bootstrap their way out of the poverty-trap, successfully. Bravo.

Would you be willing to consider diversifying into the clean power sector - by collaborating with the brilliant Ghanaian marine engineer, merchant marine chief engineer, Raphael Afordoanyi, to globally patent his game-changing, emission-free off-grid clean power invention, which, believe it or not, is going to save humankind from passing the climate-change-tipping-point-of-no-return?

Helping Raphael (whom I have copied into the conversation so you can communicate  directly with), will enable you to get in, on the ground floor,  of an idea, which will enable the world to be powered 100 percent, with electricity that never goes off, regardless of prevailing weather conditions, and is cheaper than that generated by even nuclear power plants (imagine that), and, make all its promoters the wealthiest individuals, ever, on the planet Earth.

This is the background to why Raphael is now so wary about who he works with, to patent his invention globally, and, why, in my humble view, the Little Market's founders, are the most suitable, ethical  Western social-entrepreneurs, he ought to collaborate with:

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Kofi Thompson

We Are Not Fools In Ghana At All - So Our Ruling-élites Must Beware

We are not fools in  Ghana, ooooo  -  we the masses. No. No. No. Enough is enough. With the greatest respect, Ghana's ruling-élites, really must sit-up, start to wise-up, and stop taking ordinary  Ghanaians for granted, ooooo. Hmmmm.  Let them beware: Ghana sits atop a volatile-gunpowder-keg, ooooo, Massa. Yooooooo...

How can anyone, with a modicum of commonsense, and who can feel the tension created by the pentup-anger of a totally fed-up population, now tired of being ruled by cynical thieves-in-high-places, seek to prevent the giving of evidence, by a controversial  chairperson, of the Electoral Commission, by going into the witness box, to be cross-examined - with sodden technicalities of the law?

Massa, we the masses,  are not nearly as stupid as these arrogant and simultaneously-power-drunk-and-power-hungry geniuses think, ooooo. Is this not an election in which innocent voters were gunned down by myrmidon-thugs in the uniforms of our military and police? And the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission that supervised such an election can't be asked questions in an open court of law? Yoooooo...

Massa, we can now clearly read between the lines, and, thereafter,  put two-and-two together,  to enable us figure out, more or less, what went on, on voting day, on 7th December, 2020, which nearly lost our very good, honest and hardworking elected leader, President Akufo-Addo, the presidency,  and drastically reduced  his throughly-corrupted ruling party's large number of MPs, paaaaaaa, oooooo. Let our ruling elites, beware,  oooooo. We are not fools in Ghana. Far from it. Yooooooooo...

In An Era Of Global Pandemics Leadership-Arrogance Has Dire Consequences

Our ruling-élites need to realise that they are drinking in the Last-Chance-Blue-Kiosk. When one listens to them these days, it is almost as if most of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) young-turks, have forgotten, so soon, that their ruling party actually received a real drubbing, from a very clued-on-electorate, in the skirt-and-blouse presidential and parliamentary elections, of December 2020. Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

The infernal-arrogance, of the smug Kojo Oppong-Nkrumahs, and Nana Boakyes, in those bizzare Supreme Court election petition post-hearing equalisation-press-conferences, illustrate perfectly, just  how tone-deaf our ruling-élites have  become. Hmmm, Oman Ghana - enti yewieye paaa enei? Yooooooo...

The question we need to ponder over  is: Why do a wise and aspirational people, appear to be failing to see  the manifest-dangers, inherent in our  complacency about the safety of our Republic, our  inexplicable-noncholance, about the health of Ghanaian democracy, and, worst of all, the total disinterest, of most of soceity's  well-off, in  the plight of the masses?

The paradox, in all this, is that while we constantly boast about being a stellar African constitutional democracy, injustice, arrogance and impunity,  have quietly conspired, to  create perfect conditions, for a  military putsch, by angry and oft-humiliated digital-native military officers. Yooooooo...

So, dear  reader, do not be surprised, when the next Jerry Rawlings, finally strikes - to carry out a year's housecleaning exercise to demand a rendering-of-accounts, by the thieves-in-high-places,  brutally gang-raping Mother Ghana - and is welcomed joyously with rapturous hosannas and hallelujahs, by today's totally fed-up, hapless-masses, oooo, Massa. Arrogance, in an era of global coronavirus pandemics, definitely has consequences. Seriously. Yooooooo...

Should Chiefs Colluding With Criminal-Types To Win Sand Illegally Be Prosecuted And Jailed?

Incredibly, included in the list of individuals, and groups, busy stabbing our hardworking, and very focused, elected leader,  President Akufo-Addo, in the back,  the most, are (according to bush-telegraph sources), some of  Akyem Abuakwa's Chiefs, who are alleged to be involved in what is one of modern sub-Saharan Africa's worst land-grab, attempts, ever. Amazing.

It is vital, and, in the overall national interest, that their vile, nation-wrecking on-the-ground-tactics, in pursuance of their abominable land-grabbing-strategy, are halted, by decisive action, from the law enforcement agencies. Immediately. Now. Not tomorrow.

What is happening across the Ayensuano  parliamentary constituency, where illegal sandwinners operate with total impunity, for example, is intolerable. It is one of the factors, which made the ruling New Patriotic Party's  (NPP) candidate, lose there, in the closely-fought December 2020 elections.

If the authorities fail to stop them, their heinous crimes will eventually affect the Eastern Region's ability to attract serious and reputable impact-investors - which is bound to affect the region's longterm prospects, negatively.

As most discerning Ghanaians are aware, since he assumed office, in January 2017, President Akufo-Addo has  outlined, and, is implementing, a number of  brilliant policies, which will transform Ghana's agricultural sector, into a private-sector-led wealth-generating, and job-creating, green economic pillar, by the end  of  his second term in office, in January 2025.

Our nation needs peace, and unity, to develop and prosper. That is why any  Chief, who colludes with criminal-types (who employ armed landguards), to unlawfully occupy,  and thereby forcibly take over, countless smallholder-farmlands, in parts of the Eastern Region,  to win sand illegally, should be prosecuted. Enough is enough. Haaba.

A Quick Note To Honourable Abaas Fusheini Sbaabe - Who Bemoans Institutional-Bias Against The NDC

Honourable Abaas,

What you say, about institutional-bias against the National Democratic Congress  (NDC ), is sadly true, in many ways.  Unfortunately, your party did not help itself, while in power, either. Broadminded young people, like you, should have been allowed to rise higher.  And,  sincere, patriotic and fairminded-critics, in the media,  like some us, ought to have been listened to, much more, too.

As you know, because  both your party, and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), helped in the disembowelment of the Convention People's Party  (CPP), I loathe them equally, but try to support the good young people in them, for the sake of Mother Ghana, and the well-being of the masses.

(ncidentally,  I also support President Akufo-Addo, 100 percent, because despite the many negatives associated with his regime, he is the best leader for Ghana, at this juncture of its history. That is why I voted skirt-and-blouse in tbe December 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections. But I digress)

Time and time again, I have said that in terms of  winning the battle for hearts-and-minds,  the NDC ought to model itself, on Hezbolla, in Lebanon - and offer direct help to poor families, and struggling individuals, across Ghana. That will  make it a formidable political party.

How will they fund such an initiative, you might wonder? Read this article:  (https://www.modernghana.com/news/962292/why-eric-ingersoll-must-now-tell-the-world-the.html), and understand how by helping the brilliant Ghanaian inventor, Raphael Afordoanyi, to file global patents, for his emission-free. clean power invention, the NDC could become the weathiest political party, ever, in the history of the world.

Their share of global royalties, from even a small stake, in Raphael's amazing game-changing, emission-free off-grid  clean power system (that never goes off and produces electricity that is even cheaper than that from nuclear power plants), would provide your party, with trillions of dollars, annually,  to even fund the transformation of Ghana, into the most prosperous nation in the world, from its own resources.

And, your party will be able to say proudly, till the very end of time, that it helped all the world's nations to switch to being powered 100 pecent, by affordable emission-free  clean power. Think about that, wai, Massa.

Finally, my humble advice to you is:  With the greatest respect, whatever your do, get Alhaji Ibrahim Mahama, to fund the global patenting, of Raphael Afordoanyi's game-changing emission-free clean-power invention, on the NDC's behalf. That is what our friend, the Alhaji Bature Iddrisu ( may his soul continue to rest in the bosom of Allah Almighty), would have done, if he were alive today. For sure. Pronto. Swiftly.  Yoooooooo...

Does The Spike In Active COVID-19 Cases Result Directly From The December 2020 Election Campaign Rallies?

Ghana is now increasingly gaining notoriety, as a nation of unparalled-impunity, in which a wealthy and politically well-connected few, get away with destroying forests, in fulfillment of their greedy ambitons. Yet, we are also aware that forest-loss, invariably results, in an increase in zoomatic diseases. Amazing.

The question is: As an aspirational people, what should we do, to enable us plan effectively and and efficiently, strategically, so that we can, more or less, permanently, live with COVID-19, instead of allowing it to destroy our national economy, through repeated lockdowns?

For example,  instead of Veronica buckets, and tissue paper, we can incentivise  local manufacturers, to produce barrel-type wash-stations, with sensor-activated automatically-dispensed running water, for hand-washing, and hot air, for hand-drying, nationwide, through the use of tax incentives.

And, for institutions such as banks, schools, supermarkets, etc.,  etc., which are regularly visited by large numbers of people, locally manufactured  airport-style walk-through-arches, which spray  disinfectants,  would help check the spread of COVID-19, in Ghana.

Above all, we must ban spitting in  public places, and, as an alternative to galamsay, provide Ghana's base-of-the-pyramid demographic's youth, with green economy opportunities, such as growing industrial hemp, to produce flax cloth, hemp blocks for building and to manufacture vehicle dashboards.

Finally, we must be brutally frank: The spike in Ghana's active COVID-19 case count, results, directly, mostly from the massive December 2020 election campaign rallies, which were all  super-spreader-events. We must call spades, spades, for once - and not resort to euphemisms. Haaba.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN - LAND BELONGING TO THE ESTATE OF THE LATE P. E. THOMPSON ESQ - IN AKYEM JUASO AND KYEKYEWRE, BOTH IN THE EASTERN REGION OF GHANA

We are reliably informed, that my late cousin, Madam Nancy Thompson's son, Kwame Thompson,  who is my second cousin, is trying to sell part of the 14-square mile freehold upland evergreen rainforest land, at the Akyem Juaso section, of the Atewa Range,  belonging to the estate of the late P. E. Thompson Esq.

For the avoidance of  doubt, Kwame Thompson, does not have the legal right, to sell any property, belonging to the estate of the late P. E. Thompson Esq., in any part of Ghana's Eastern Region. Period.

Any individual, or mining company, he approaches, to try to sell such land to,  must understand clearly that he will be defrauding them, as he has no legal title, personally, to any such land, which is the bona-fide property of the estate of the P. E. Thompson Esq. Case closed.

They must ask Kwame Thompson, to produce vesting assents, in his name, personally, and point out,to them, where, exactly, in the will of the late P. E. Thompson Esq, it is stated, clearly, and unambigiously, that such land was left to him, in his personal capacity.

It must be made clear,  and understood by all, that  caveat emptor (Latin for buyer beware!), is very much  the operating principle, when dealing with that thoroughly corrupt, despicable and unscrupulous second cousin, of  mine, Kwame Thompson. Yooooooo...

We will not hesitate to proceed to the law courts, to sue anyone, who trespasses on any of the said lands, belonging to  the estate of the late P. E. Thompson Esq, and, who, despite all the above cautionary information, nonetheless, deliberately, and unlawfully,  collude with, and allow themselves to be defrauded, by Kwame Thompson and his assigns. Yooooooo...

A Quick Note To Hon. Abaas Fusheini Sbaabe - Who Clearly Has No Clue About Today's Judiciary

Hmmm, Honourable, small boys are young, ampaaaa, ooooo. Massa, just cast your mind back, to the secret Cabinet memo, which that sly-and-hypocritical finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, sent to his Cabinet colleagues,  about the anticipated-response he believed would come, from Papa Kwesi Kwesi Nduom, when he learnt about the revocation of his GN Bank's license.

Papa Kwesi Nduom was destroyed, simply because he was seen, correctly,  as a formidable opponent of  Nana Akufo-Addo, in the December 2020 presidential election,  wai. In the event,  that now-emotionally-broken gentleman, did not even contest the election. Such is life. Hmmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

In that disgraceful and cynical memo, Ken Ofori-Atta,  predicted, that Nduom would head straight to court, to fight the revocation of his GN Bank's  license - but that because they were in power,  their regime would prevail, there, too. Can you read between the lines there, now, anaaaaa? Yooooooo...

Then there is the arrogant and cynical attitude, displayed by Atta Akyea, in the secret recording, which was played by the brilliant Raymond Archer, whose  'Election Forensics' programme, was aired on Radio Gold FM, during the hiatus in the December 2008, presidential election,  when Atta Ajyea & Co,  sought to steal that presidential election.

Atta Akyea called for an intelligence report, to locate the then Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Afari Djan, and 'give' him whatever he wanted - after they were let down by a judge, whom they thought was one of their 'right judges'.

Massa, do you know how many judges, this NPP administration,  has appointed, thus far, since it came to power? Hmmmm, small boys are young, ampaaa. Don't expect a judgement that will ever go against this regime, in any court case, in this country, ooooo, Massa.  It won't happen.  Full stop. They have their 'right judges' in place, wai. They learnt their lessons. Cool, la...

But worry not, wai: When the next Jerry Rawlings, finally strikes, the arrogant-posturing of some of Ghana's judges, would have been an important  contributory-factor, which would have  led to that  much-needed, and much-welcomed, junior officer led, military housecleaning-emergency-intervention, wai, Massa. Onyame, entise, Alata ni, ooooo, wai. Hmmm, eyeasem, oooo. Eeiiii, Oman Ghana  - enti, yewieye paaa, enei? Asem kesie, bi, ebeba, debi ankasa, ooooo. Yooooooo...

Why Jerry Rawlings Offspring With Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings Must Reach Out To Those Claiming To Be Their Siblings

Precisely because of the values their very privileged family, represent, symbolically, in Ghana's political world, it would be wise for Hon. Zanetor Rawlings (who is her late father's political-torchbearer), to invite all the individuals, who have made known, to the world, claims of being the offspring, of her late father, to meet with her, and her siblings, and  their widowed mother, former First Lady,  Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.

Dispassionate dicussions, for DNA tests (to establish the truth or otherwise of those blood-tie-claims), can then be held, in private, away from the glare of intrusive media platforms.  It will be  a  noble gesture, worthy of their great father, to enable them bring closure, to that emotionally painful matter - and enable them make a new beginning as a united family clan.

Throughout his life, their late father fought for fairness in society. It really is vital, therefore, that all who indeed have former President Rawlings' blood, coursing through their veins, are welcomed, by his four known official children, Zanetor, Yaa Asantewaa, Amina and Kimathi, and finally allowed, by them, and their dear mother, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, to formally become part of the J. J. Rawlings family clan. May their great father's soul rest in peace. Cool.

A Quick Note To Hon. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings - To Demand That Her Father Be Buried At The Asomdwee Park

It is still not too late, for the family of former President Rawlings, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to walk out of  a  trap, designed to permanently keep out Jerry Rawlings' many admirers (from across Ghana, the continent of Africa, and from other parts of the world), from being able to congregate in large numbers, at his last resting place, in future. Yoooooooo...

Hon. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, you who are the torchbearer, of your great father's legacy, think about this: Between the Asomdwee Park, and the Burma Camp Military Cemetary, which will be easier for the world to gather to honour the memory of your father, in great numbers? Yooooooo...

Ohemaa Paaapabi, do not allow them to deliberately hide the last resting place, of  a hugely-popular  hero-of-the-masses, who took Ghana back, from the grasping hands, of the political ancestors, of many of today's  greed-filled powerful-thieves-in-high-places, amongst our ruling-élites, and gave it back to ordinary folk, ooooo. If transferred to the military, Asomdwee Park will be renovated within a week - and kept well-maintained forever - becoming a very popular tourist spot, too, because the legendary-hero Flt. Lt. Jerry Rawlings, lies there. Yooooooo...

Let them bury him at  the Asomdwee Park, and he will bless your courage,  in saving him, from the ignominy of being buried, at a resting-place,  where ceremonies to honour him, in future,  by his mamy admirers,  will be next to  impossible - the whole point of the devilish-strategy, of his many secret-and-envious-enemies, now shedding crocodile tears copiously. Yoooooooo...

Ohemaa Paaapabi, I implore you, again, to stop a great Ghanaian leader, from being hidden in a Burma Camp Military Cemetary, permanently. I speak humbly, as the first local journalist (a lowly staff writer, at  Kabral Blay-Amihere's 'The Independent,' with Egbert Faibille, then as publisher), whom your great  father spoke to, after leaving office in 2000. Up close, one saw his amazing charisma, and the hold he then had, over his party's bigwigs.

Although he had many faults (and what normal living human being hasn't, I ask?), on balance, former President Rawlings,  by all standards, was a remarkable servant-leader - which is why, as his torchbearer,  Hon. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings,  must  demand that her great father, is buried at the Asomdwee Park, and always be easily accessible to his many admirers,  till the very end of time: instead  of allowing him to be cunningly hidden, by his hypocritical-secret-enemies,  in a Burma Camp Military Cemetary. May his soul rest  in peace. Hmmmm, life...

Can Ghanaian Democracy Survive - If The 8th Parliament Of The 4th Republic Fails The Masses?

Can Ghanaian democracy survive - if the 8th Parliament, of the 4th Republic, were to fail the masses? Ghana's ruling-élites must beware: A democracy in which many suffer daily, and millions  struggle to survive, which is  dominated by powerful and respectable-looking thieves-in-high-places, who constantly manipulate state institutions, for personal gain, sits atop a ticking social-time-bomb, ooooo. Yoooooo...

If Ghana's 8th Parliament, disappoints Ghanaians, by failing to stop the nation-wrecking 4th Republican practice, of regularly passing rubber-stamping-legislation, to legalise mammoth-elite-looting, no one should be surprised, if the next Jerry Rawlings finally strikes, oooooo. Yoooooo...

When that junior-officer-led-putsch, occurs, and the bloody and brutal June 1979, house-cleaning-accountability-exercise, is repeated, there will be widespread jubilation, amongst a totally-fed-up-population, tired of the shameless looting, of state resources, by a cohort of vile, greedy, powerful and well-connected individuals, ooooo. Simply put, Ghanaian democracy will not survive, if the 8th Parliament fails the masses. Enough is enough, oooo. Yooooooo...

Furtheremore, as a matter of principle, your Grandpa Thompson,  never accepts gifts, oooo, Massa. Not wise  in my profession to do so, koraaaa, ooooo.

So, although I am grateful to you,  for the Sunlight brand washing up liquid soap, I shall pay for it, the next time Ayesha comes there. I trust you are well?

Continue staying safe, Lansana - and  peace and blessings to you, my dear brilliant-young-protégé. I have no doubt at all that you are destined for greatness as a rapper and dancehall artiste, ooooo,  Massa. Wu ye bue ankasa!

A Quick Note To A Rocha Ghana's Daryl Bosu - Who Is Concerned About The Equitable Provision Of PPEs To Government Schools

Massa, let me be brutally frank here: We are big-hypocrites in Ghana. The question we ought ponder over is: To save the gargantuan sums expended on them, to enable them run smoothly, what is the most sensible step to take, about the future of second-cycle schools - at a time when we all face such serious risks from a ruthless global pandemic?

Massa, in my humble view, what a sensible and aspirational African people, like Ghanaians, ought to do, in the COVID-19-era, is simply to commit to transforming all public sector boarding senior high schools, nationwide,  into world-class day educational institutions. Simple. We will save zillions that way - and use that to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools across Ghana. Hmmm, eyeasem ooooo...

Furthermore, to ensure that world-class education - from kindergarten to tertiary level - is always available to the children and wards of all Ghanaian families, till the very end of time, we must act quickly, now, to link free eduction, to the payment of taxes. Case closed. Haaba.

To widen present-day nsny-holed-tax-dragnet,  taxes must be set at rates, which will put  Ghana on the map, as the nation with the lowest tax rates, in the whole world - bar the Principality of Monaco: where citizens don't pay any taxes. Low taxes make citizens feel that the payment of taxes, are a moral obligation, they must fulfil, as their contribution to the nation--building task.

Finally, if we do not want free education to collapse,  under its own weighted-indebtness, then we must end the continuing-idiocy, of not transforming all public-sector senior high schools, into world-class day schools, nationwide, immediately. Now. Not tomorrow. Full stop. Hmmm, Oman Ghana eyeasem ooooo - enti yewieye paaaa, enei? Asem kesie, bi, ebeba debi, ankasa, ooooo.  Yooooooo...

A Quick Note To My Favourite Nephew Eugene Kofi Boakye-Yiadom - Who Now Regrets Supporting President Trump

 Favourite Nephew,

Glad the scales have finally fallen off your eyes. However, there is no need to be ashamed of supporting Trump, oooo, Massa. It is okay, wai. You win some, you lose some. Simple. That is life. Hmmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

However, on the issue of my supposed  good judgement, I  think you exaggerate, oooo,  Massa. Sometimes we all get it wrong, too, oooo, Massa. Full stop. Case closed. In my humble view, you were attracted to Trump, for  sound libertarian reasons - as were hundreds of  millions of freedom-loving conservative-folk, worldwide.

That is why you have nothing to be ashamed of, in supporting him when you did. If you ask me,  I think it was the contrarian, in you, which made you buy into that twitting-twit's absurd-fakery.

In any case, you are a zillion times smarter, than that deluded-exceptional-moron, who got into the White House, only as a result of the racial-backlash, spurred by the preceding historic-presidency, of Barrack Obama  -  a brilliant and incredibly charismatic person-of-colour. Cool.

Trump became President, after Obama, only because he openly showed his bigotry, and proudly displayed his white-supremacist-clap-trap - saying, and doing, stuff, which many millions also said, and, did: but only behind closed doors,  when amongst fellow white-supremacists. Simple.

Favourite nephew,  it takes great-good-judgement, to start from zero, literally, and rise to become Ghana's foremost green entrepreneur - respected and admired by the great and good in Ghanaian society, wai. As for me, I am just an ignorant old fool, who is very, very proud of you, and loves you, an incredibly brilliant green-young-achiever, to bits. Cool, la...

Why We Must Deal Ruthlesely With Ghana's Wicked-Cohorts Of Galamsayers, Illegal Sandwinners And Illegal Loggers

My takeaway-observation, yesterday, after inspecting damage caused by illegal sandwinners, to my family's incredibly beautiful, and idyllic, farmland, at Thompsonakura (five minutes as the crow flies from Kyekyewre, which is off the Accra-Kumasi highway, between Teacher Mante and Asuboi), is that, clearly, conditions now exist, for the super-wealthy destroyers of our collective natural heritage (currently engaged in galamsay, illegal logging, for bush-cut chainsaw lumber, as well as illegal sandwinning, nationwide), to become tomorrow's super-dangerous and murderous-warlords.

Fellow active-citizens, of Nkrumah's Ghana, as aspirational and civilised Africans, if we are not careful, those vile, evil-greed-filled-individuals, will eventually end-up dominating our dear nation - if preventative-measures, are not taken immediatelly, by Ghanaian officialdom. As sure as day follows night, the unfathomable-greed that drives them, will turn our mostly-beautiful countryside, into a vaste swathe of  unproductive-wasteland, which creeping-desertification will then claim,  as its next victim, in sub-Saharan Africa. Yoooooo...

If that tragedy were to occur, there is no question that ours will  become an African country, in which the rule of law apparently exists, but only on paper, and which in reality (nationwide on the ground), is an accursed-jurisdiction, which is a jungle in which might is right, and the applicable-statute-book-laws are those of the jungle, in which only the strong-and-most-brutal, survive, and thrive. Yoooooooo...

One's humble advice to the well-off middle-class citizens, of Nkrumah's Ghana, such as the comfortably well-off middle-class individuals, who are active environmental activists (such as members ofd the Awula Serwah-founded dynamic Eco-Conscious Citizens group), is simply that, as a privileged-demographic, they must act, quickly,  now,   to avert that future-catastrophic-possibility, outlined above, by helping society to find our younger generations, alternative income-streams (such as co-operatives of unemployed youth growing coconuts, bamboo and industrial hemp, for example,  on abandoned mined-out sites, nationwide, perhaps?).

If that is not done, now, those desperate and disadvantaged young people, will be inveigled into  becoming  foot-soldiers, who, when not being exploited as galamsay workers, or as area-specific specialist-illegal-sandwinning-workforce, by their murderous, and evil, super-wealthy environmental-vandalist-employers, moonlight as AK-47-wielding armed robbers, terrorising you, to survive, oooo. Yooooooo...

Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo. Eeiiiii,  Oman Ghana, enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie, bi, ebeba debi ankasa, ooooo. As a democratic society, we must deal ruthlessly with all Ghana's wicked-cohorts, of galamsayers, illegal sandwinners and illegal loggers, before they become too powerful to control, oooo. Yooooooo...

A Quick Note To The Heads Of Ghana's Security Agencies - To Share A Few Home-Truths With

Gentlemen,

In light of the radical change in Ghana's political landscape, perhaps the time has come to share a few home truths with you: the Inspector General of Police; the Military High Command; the head of the Ghana Immigration Service; the head of the Ghana Prison Service; the head of the Customs,  Excise and Preventitive Service, of the Ghana Revenue Authority; the head of the Ghana National Fire Service;  and heads of other agencies, in our national security architecture.

To begin with, surprising though it might be to some of you, actually, the Republic of Ghana, is not the conquered-vassal-territory, of the power-drunk, and verbally-aggresive, hardliners, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), oooooo.  Yooooooooo...

Furthermore, Gentlemen, all of you, the aforementioned heads of our nation's security agencies, need to understand, clearly,  when tempted to kowtow to the Bryan Acheampongs, Kennedy Adjapongs, and Barnard Antwi-Boasiakos, that it was the insufferable arrogance, of that narcissistic-troika (amongst other factors), which nearly sent their party, into the political wilderness in the December 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections  - despite the hardworking and focused  President Akufo-Addo's incredible foundation-laying-initiatives, designed to transform our homeland  Ghana, into the most prosperous country, in sub-Saharan Africa, by the end of his second term, in office: so all of you must now sit-up, and wise-up, oooo. Yooooooooo...

Prosecute All Akyem Abuakwa Chiefs Attempting Ghana's Worst Violent-Landgrab - By Conspiring With Illegal Sandwinners

From day one of his presidency, on 7th January, 2017, I have given President Akufo-Addo 100 percent support,  because I have never doubted, that after the great President Nkrumah, Nana Addo will eventually emerge as the next best elected leader, Ghana has ever had,  in terms of executing transformational-agenda-blueprints, by the end of his tenure, as Ghana's democratically elected leader.

That will become apparent, to the whole nation, by the end of his renewed mandate,  four years hence, in January 2025. Cool.

Sadly, whiles the President sweats day and night, to transform Ghana, into the prosperous and inclusive society, which  it is destined to become, under his leadership, some greed-filled Akyem Abuakwa Chiefs, are engaging in the most outrageous, egregious-landgrab-attempt, ever witnessed, in modern Africa. Hmmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

By selling already sold (and registered) farmlands, in parts  of the Eastern Region (some dating from as long ago as the colonial era: long before those super-daft-geniuses were born), they are giving the world the rather unfortunate impression, that land in certain parts  of the Eastern Region, of Ghana, are in dispute,  and thus not safe, and secure, to purchase for investment. Monstrous. Unspeakable. Abominable. Unpardonable.

With respect, what those shortsighted Chiefs, are doing, has made President Akufo-Addo (who has absolutely nothing to do with that outrage),  rather unpopular, in those parts of the Eastern Region, where that impunity, and pure nonsense-on-bamboo-stilts, is occurring (and has occurred in the past).

President Akufo-Addo  must now step in, and order the security agencies to sit up, and take strong and effective measures, to arrest and prosecute all those employing  landguards, with guns, to protect the ruthless and evil lawless-individuals, trespassing, and  destroying farms, in villages, in the Teacher Mante area, to win sand illegally.

Finally, the question we must all ponder over is: Is it not instructive that all the vile and arrogant criminals, currently  winning sand illegally (in collusion with violent-gun-toting-landguards), in parts of the Eastern Region,  by trespassing on privately-owned farmlands, claim to have purchased such lands, from Chiefs in Akyem Abuakwa? The time has now come to arrest, and prosecute, all the Akyem Abuakwa Chiefs, attempting Ghana's worst violent-landgrab, ever, by conspiring with illegal sandwinners. The situation is now intolerable, ooooo. Yooooooooo...

A Quick Note To Mr. Eugene Kofi Boakye-Yiadom - A Patriot Who Loves Mother Ghana Passionately

Favourite Nephew,

Indeed the arrogance of our greed-filled   ruling-élites is beyond belief. But God Almighty has intervened - rest assured that  our legislature will no longer provide legal-cover, for Ghana's nation-wrecking thieves-in-high-places, henceforth.

Parliament's new Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, rules OK - so rest assured that all those disgraceful acts of lawlessness, which ypu referred to, will be thoroughly investigated, by the relevant Select Committees. For  sure. Cool.

The confounded Agyapaapabi-Assaseyaa -Jersey-heist, will also be thoroughly investigated,  and the Bible-quoting, ruthless -white-attired destroyers-of-the-enterprises-of-political-opponents, will get their  just deserts: prosecution and jail-time. Simple.

Finally, for your information, if Parliament makes the mistake,  of ending up as a mutual-admiration-debating-society, full of I-scratch-your-back-and-you-scratch-mine gravy-train-capers, our gallant military's  junior officers, will be encouraged by some of us, to do a one year emergency-house-cleaning-intervention, ooooo. Yoooooo...

During that period, every individual or business entity that has robbed (in broad daylight!), and participated, in the brutal gang-rape of Mother Ghana, will be held to account. Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

So, if they have any sense, the earlier judges in Ghana, stop kowtowing, to the self-appointed powerful-surrogates, of the appointing-authority (who have allegedly arrogated to themseles, the power to appoint/disappoint, in our country, and present same to the constitutionally-recognised appointing-authority, as fait-accomplis, for rubber-stamping!), and deliver intolerably-senseless-and-contorted-judgements-to-please-their-benefactors, the better it  will be for them, when that Atemuda-emergency-housecleaning year-of-payback-time, comes, oooo, Massa. Case closed. Yoooooo...

A Quick Note To A Shocked Hon. Abaas Fusheini Sbaabe - Who Should Know Better

Hon. Abaas Fuseini Sbaabe,

Ahhhh, you paaaa. Forgotten so soon, how during the period when Atta Akyea & Co were maneuvering to steal the 2008 presidential election, he referred to their losing a court case, they thought they had taken to a "right-judge"whose delivered-judgement, did not go in the anticipated direction, for them? Small boys are young. Please, ask Radio Gold for the 'Election Forensics' tape recordings, wai. Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

Massa, the NPP is a party of plutocrats, masquerading as true-believers in multiparty democracy. It is full of Akan tribal-supremacists, who are in politics, to execute a secret plan to enable Akans to dominate Ghana till Kingdom come. Remember the secretly-recorded abominable tribal-supremacist-fulminations of Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo at  an NPP Koforidua meeting? Yooooooo...

Massa,  I am an Akan, who, as a precocious young boy, overhead - when growing up, after Nkrumah's overthrow, in 1966 - many of the secret conversations, of some of the major historical figures of the immediate post-Nkrumah era, who used to frequent our home.

Massa, I was privy to many dreadful things said about non--Akans, which still make me loathe the NPP, today, because it is today's evolved-on-the-ground-political-manifestation, which is busy carrying out the execution of the dream of those hypocritical Akans, of yesteryear, whose secret conversations, so disgusted a precocious teenage boy, growing up in the  post-Nkrumah era after 1966: moi. Cool.

The unedifying stuff that was said then, about Ewes,  and Northerners,  which I overhead, shocked me to the core. Because of my fairmindedness, even then, I developed a loathing for tribalistic politics, and the hypocrisy of those fellow Akans, who say nice things about Ewes, and Northerners, publicly,  to win their support, but clearly hate them,  from the tone of their secret private conversations, amongst themselves. Open your  eyes, wai, Massa. Yooooooo...

Sadly,  nothing has changed. Remember the NPP's Nana Boakye's utter contempt, for the distinguished Hon. Martin Amidu's ethnicity, when he thought he was making an anonymous and untraceable phone call, to insult him? I pity the NPP's Ewe and Northern supporters, paaaapa. Poor things - so derided behind their backs behind closed doors: when absent. Yooooooo...

From the brilliant Raymond Archer's 'Election Forensics' tape recording, played during the said period, in 2008, when Atta Akyea & Co, were trying to steal that presidential election,  did you not hear Atta Akyea calling for intelligence reports, about the whereabouts of Dr. Afari Djan, the then Chairperson of the Electoral Commission - so that he could be given whatever it was he wanted? Hmmmm, eyeasem ooooo...

Massa, how do you know that the same strategy was not adopted for the current Electoral Commissioners too? Small boys are young, wai. That is why a Parliament that can actually check and prevent the continuation of the many very serious crimes, by thieves-in-high-places, such as the Agyapaapabi-Assaseyaa-Jersey-scandal, is so devastating for the NPP.

Massa,  to think that building a National Cathedral will bribe God Almighty, is sacrilegious. Their punishment? Being hoisted on their own petard in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections. Ditto the election to select a new Speaker for the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic. Sarjewah.

The totally unexpected results, of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections, and that to select a new  Speaker, are the direct-rebukes, from an angry God Almighty, who loves this nation, passionately, because it is a shinning example, to the whole world, of peaceful coexistence between ethnic groups,  and between religious faiths, nationwide, wai.  Massa, Onyame, entise Alata, ni, oooo. Yooooooo. The outrageous looting will now end  - because the legislature will not allow it. Simple. Miraculous-delivery delivered. Fear God Almighty, ooooo, wai, Massa. Always. Cool.

Is Hon. Dominic Nitiwul Ghana's Worst Defence Minister Ever - In Our Entire Post-Independence History?

Is Hon. Nitiwul the worst ever defence minister, in Ghana's post-independence history? By sending armed troops, into Parliament, during the events of 6th-7th January, 2021, he gave the whole world a glimpse, into the warped-mindset, which has been responsible for our having  the worst Military High Command, ever, to lead the highly-disciplined, and globally-respected, gallant professionals in the Ghana Armed Forces, in office, today. Hmmmm, eyeasem, oooo...

Those shameful high-rank-cowards, have looked on helplessly, as hotheaded, and stupid politicians, such as the Nitiwuls, Bryan Acheampongs  and Bernard Antwi-Boasiakos, continue to prostitute the honour of the noble profession of arms. Why, I ask? We demand answers - especially when their cowardice led to 'soldiers' shooting live ammunition into innocent law-abiding citizens at polling stations.

Are the aforementioned NPP-moronic-trioka-of-fools, not allegedly responsible for the treasonable act, of  kitting out brutish myrmidon-thugs (said to have been recruited, according to bush-telegraph sources, from the NPP-bigwigs'-owned private militias,  the Delta Force, and the Invincible forces, into our national security apparatus), in military uniforms, in order to enable them  cause mayhem, across our homeland Ghana, merely for lunatic-and-treasonable-party-causes, i.e. a strategy to steal-an-electionby-intimidatory-tactics? Disgraceful. Abominable. Unspeakable. Unpardonable.

Shame on the Nitiwuls, and their idiotic-ilk. The sods. For all the above reasons, and more, Hon. Nitiwul is definitely the worst defence minister, ever, in Ghana's entire post-independence history, thus far. Moron. Enough is enough. He must not be reappointed again, as defence minister,  under any circumstances. Full stop. Case closed. Hmmm, Oman Ghana eyeasem - enti, yewieye paaa, enei: asem kesie, bi, ebeba,  debi ankasa, ooooo. Yooooooo...

Was The Outcome Of The 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections Purchased In Advance?

Was the outcome of the 2020 presidential, and parliamentary elections,  purchased in advance - as some conspiracy-theorists claim? To get to the bottom of this matter,  the more responsible sections of the Ghanaian media, owe a responsibility to the good people of Ghana, to stop pitching camp, with either side, of the debased-coin-of-infamy, which the constituent parts of the dominant NPP/NDC duopoly, represent.

Henceforth, all Mother Ghana's truly patriotic media professionals, ought to work diligently, and assiduously,  as watchdogs (and the fourth arm of government), which keeps an eagle-eye on the executive, legislature and judiciary, of our country,  and hold all of them accountable to the ordinary people,  in whom sovereignty,  in our system, ultimately resides. Full stop.

Although our ruling-élites  are most probably all saintly individuals, nonetheless, as a matter of some urgency,  theGhanaian media must work together, with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists  (ICIJ),  to get former U.S. President Barack Obama, to demand   that the relevant U.S. government agencies, investigate the global financial dealings, of the following appointees in Ghanaian officialdom:

The Senior Minister,  Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo; the  Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta; Defence Minister, Hon. Nitiwul;  all the Electoral Commissioners;  all the heads of Ghana's security agencies; National Security  Minister, Hon. Kan Dapaah; Interior Minister, Hon. Ambrose Derry; Hon. Bryan Acheampong; Hon. Kennedy Adjapong;  and, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional chairperson of the NPP. Cool.

Tbe reason for such a request, is that judging by the unfortunate events,  which unfolded in Parliament, in the full glare of TV camera lights,  and beamed globally,  on 6th-7th January, 2021;  as a civilised and aspirational African people, we must rule out the possibility that there was any grand conspiracy, to somehow secretly  purchase the outcome, of the 2020 presidential, and parliamentary elections, by any of the aforementioned saintly individuals, amongst Ghana's saintly-ruling-élites. Cool.

Alas, only the U.S. has the resources, and global reach, to do so, on behalf of the ordinary people of Ghana. Simple. Case closed.  No libilaba.

Enough is enough - which is why the good people of Ghana, as well as the rest of the world, need to know, whether or not, the outcome of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections were purchased in advance. Full stop. Hmmm, Oman Ghana, eyeasem, ooooo - enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie, bi, ebeba, debi ankasa, oooooo. Yooooooo...

A Quick Note To The Eastern Regional Police Commander - Who Must Stop The Illegal Sandwinners At Thompsonakura

 Dear Regional Commander,

The Eastern Regional Police Command must act swiftly,  and send armed SWAT Teams, to arrest the gun-toting land-guards, and illegal sandwinners, who are now terrorising farmers at Thompsonakura, Kyekyewre, which is between Teacher Mante and Asuboi, off the Accra-Kumasi highway.

Sir, the Eastern Regional Police Command, must act immediately,  to save the terrified smallholder farmers who are  resident at Thompsonakura,  and its environs,  snd sll of whom now fear for their lives. The landguards are said to be firing their weapons indiscriminately. That is simply intolerable and unacceptable.

Ghana is a civilised African nation, in which the rule of law prevails. This must not be allowed to go on. No. No. No. Our land is freehold land - and was registered by my late grandfather, P. E. Thompson Esq., in Accra's Christiansburg, in 1933. It legally belongs to us, not to any Chief, or Chiefs anywhere, in Ghana. Full stop.

Apparently, this is the phone number of the greed-filled wealthy environmental-vandalist, who is behind what is going on, on our land at Thompsonakura,  Kyekyewre,  as we speak: 0244636083.

He is probably very well-connected to some of the crooked-politicos, amongst those currently in power, in our homeland Ghana, for all we know. Sir, you must get your SWAT Team to stop the illegal sandwinners at Thompsonakura, Kyekyewre,  immediately.
Hmmmm, Oman Ghana, eyeasem - enti yewieye paaaaa enei? Asem kesie, bi,  ebeba,  debi, ankasa, ooooo.  Enough is enough, ooooo. Yooooooo...

All Hail Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin - The Best-Prepared Major Political Figure Ever To Become Speaker Of Parliament

Ghana is a very lucky African nation-state indeed. We had the best-suited elected leader, in place, when COVID-19 spread, and became a global pandemic, threatening humanity, by killing millions, and destroying countless businesses, worldwide.

It was devine intervention that the most effective elected leader, since the overthrow of the great President Nkrumah, in 1966, President Akufo-Addo (whom I support 100 percent, but whose New Patriotic Party  (NPP), I loathe for its Akan tribal-supremacist tendencies, although I am an Akant too), happened to lead our country, when COVID-19 struck in 2020. He has prevented it overwhelming our public health system, and made sure it does not destroy our national economy by supporting businesses financially.

After Ghanaians punished the ruling NPP, by depriving them of  their majority, in the new 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic, during the December 2020 elections (by many, including moi, resorting to the strategy of voting skirt-and-blouse), we now have a hung Parliament, led by the longest serving parliamentarian, in Ghana's history, the Right Honourable Alban Bagbin, a committed one-nation consensus-seeking-politician, as our new Speaker of Parliament, the fourth highest office in our country.

A fair-minded gentleman's-gentleman, as the new Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bagbin, will ensure that Parliament finally becomes alive to its oversight-responsibilities, and effectively checks both the executive, and judicial arms, of government,  whiles ensuring, as a patriotic who loves his nation passionately,  that grid-lock never holds back the nation-building-process, under any circumstances. Cool.

Above all, as Speaker, Rt. Hon. Alban  Bagbin, who cares deeply about the plight of ordinary people (especially those of them who are deprived and marginalised), will ensure that the 4th Republic's  Parliament,  never becomes a corruption-riddled, scratch-my-back-I-scratch-yours-too mutual-admiration-debating-society feathering their own nests (to send their personal and family net worth to stratospheric heights). We must all hail Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, who is definitely the best-prepared major political figure, ever to become Speaker - in any Parliament, since Ghana became independent, in 1957.  Cool.

Should China Launch Its Own Version Of The Heavily Indebted Poor Country Initiative For Africa?

The wisest path China could take, in investing in Africa's future, in win-win fashion, would be to launch its own version of the Heavily Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) Initiative, so that aspirational nations in the continent, such as Ghana, can free themselves from the straightjacket of unsustainable debt, and have the fiscal-space needed to transform their societies, into prosperous and inclusive ones, benefitting all demographics.

That is the best way to end the resentment that so many in the continent feel about Chinese involvement in Africa - with some justification, if truth be told.

The question is: Will China do what many think it is incapable of doing - seeing Africa as a future global economic  powerhouse, which it is strategically wise to assist, in its hour of need, in the post-COVID-19-era:  as opposed to seeing her as a corruption-riddled continent that China should continue to take advantage of?

Regardless of what China's current leaders do, the fact of the matter, is that,  with its brilliant world-class digital-native younger generations, nothing can stop Africa becoming a global economic powerhouse, in any case.

As sure as day follows night, with the launching of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which is the largest free trade area in the world, connecting 1.3 billion people, across 54 out of the continent's 55 nations (Eritrea hasn't agreed to join it it yet, alas), with a combined gross domestic product (GDP) of US $3.4 trillion, the African rennaiasance will manifest, no matter what the rest of the world does to stop it. That transformation is unstoppable - which is why China's current leaders  would be wise to launch their own version of HIPC Initiative for Africa. Full stop. Case closed.

A Quick Note To Hon. Kojo Yankah - Whose Optimism About Africa's Future Inspires Hope

Happy new year, Kojo. Your inspiring Pan-African posts on Facebook  are such a delight to read - so full of optimism. Your faith in our younger generations is to be expected - after all, you established a leading university, the African University College of Communications  ( AUCC), to train some of them, did you not? Thanks for sharing.

President Nkrumah's dream of a powerful and wealthy Africa, utilising its natural capital, for the benefit of its  own people, will now become reality: a market of some 1.2 billion people, with a gross domestic product (GDP) of $2.5 trillion, across 54 out of the 55 member states of the African Union (alas Eritrea has excluded itself). The world's biggest free trade area. Wow.

However, in my humble view, it is vital that cross-border criminal-types (especially cyber-fraudsters) are kept out of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), from the word go. Permanently. Cool.

What will help make that possible, is to require exit-visas, from all travellers moving to other nations, from their native countries - and create a shared-central-continental-database, from the information provided by applicants, which will make them traceable, at any given point in time, wherever they are, in the AfCFTA, using AI-facial recognition software. Simple. Case closed. Problem solved. Full stop.

Kojo, no power on earth, can stop our continent from realising it's full potential now: the brightest and best of Africa's brilliant world-class younger generations, will prevent that from happening. As sure as day follows night. Thanks once again for sharing. You are the man. Cool.

A Quick New Year's Day Note To Peter Agbeko - On The Subject Of Hypocrisy In Ghana

Happy new year, Peter the Great. Very interesting topic you have chosen to comment on, today: Hypocrisy. Alas, our beloved homeland Ghana, is a two-faced-society, built  on the quicksand-of-hypocrisy. That phenomenon, is the miasma that envelopes our country,  and is exemplified by the thoroughly-corrupt, and amoral, institution, known as Chieftaincy - the last bastion of inherited forked-tongue-speaking, tribal-supremascist-privilege: a veritable road-block to transforming Ghana into a meritocracy.

As most discerning Ghanaians are aware, India's clever  nationalist leaders, understood clearly, that the greatest enemy of meritocracy, is inherited  privilege -  and decided, when they finally got rid of the British occupiers of their nation, in 1947, to clip the wings of their Maharajahs, by gradually stripping them, of all their powers. Prime Minister Indira Ghandi, completed that vital strategic-task, in 1972.

Consequently, today, incredibly, India has overcome the poverty-of-millions, which once held her back, from progressing, and prospering, and is now a global power, economically and militarily.

Sadly,  meanwhile Ghana, is still held back, by the power weilded by the many respectable-looking thieves-in-high-places, ruthlessly milking her dry, through massive high-level corruption: many of them direct descendants of the precolonial ruling-élites, our sodden hypocritical Chiefs, of today. Hmmm, Oman Ghana - eyeasemo, oooo. Enti yewieye paaa enei? Asem kesie, bi, ebeba debi ankasa, oooo. Yoooooo...

A Quick Note To Judy Calman - Who Posts On The David Attenborough For The Noble Prize Facebook Group

Bravo, Judy Calman  -  you are spot on. We humans need to stop thinking that somehow we are doing the planet Earth a huge favour, by our campaigns and advocacy, to save the world's natural environment.

In making our biosphere uninhabitable, t is humankind that is actually at risk of becoming extinct, not the earth. Full stop. We all need to understand that perfectly.

On the scale of geological time - barring it being smashed into smithereens by an object from outer space - in a few million years, our biosphere would have recovered from our barbaric-environmental-vandalism, and will be thriving again, sans homo sapiens. Simple. Not rocket science.

Even,  I,  an old fool from a backwater, in my native  Ghana, with very little formal education, can understand that.  Before our encounter with the first Europeans (the Portuguese), in the 15th century, my ancestors lived in harmony with Mother Nature.

Sir David has devoted his entire life, to making the whole world understand,  why  living in harmony with nature, is an existential-need. In so doing, we are only ensuring that we do not end up making our biosphere uninhabitable for humanity.

Let us hope that the Noble Committee, recognises Sir David's distinguished  service, to humankind, in that regard, and finally  honours him with a Noble Peace Prize. Happy holidays - and may 2021 turn out to be much better year than the annus horribilis that 2020 was!

Why Public Demonstrations Against the EC Isn't Clever Strategy

A neighbour asked me, a few days ago, why I was so critical of the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) public demonstrations,  against the Electoral Commission (EC). My answer to her, was that when dealing with evil politicos (who have become power-drunk, and seek to hang on to power, at all costs, after recieving a drubbing in an election),  organising public demonstrations is simply not clever.

In such situations, public demonstrations, only present the thieves-in-high-places, seeking a return to power, again,  regardless, with the opportunity to infiltrate those public demonstrations with agent-provocateur-types, who resort to violence in order to discredit what are meant to be peaceful demonstrations. Ghanaians don't like violent public demonstrations. Full stop. Case closed.

If I were an NDC member (God forbid! ),  I would rather be focusing on collaborations with overseas common-good organisations, such as the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists  (ICIJ), for a number of desired-achievable-objectives.

For example, a collaboration  with the ICIJ, can be used successfully, by the NDC, to follow the paper-trail, if any exist, for offshore  cash payments, made to buy the 2020 elections. This is not rocket science,  oooo. Yooooooo...

And, subsequently,  using ICIJ members in the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member-states, after unearthing vital evidence, will enable the NDC to petition their governments, to indict any Ghanaians involved in that egregious, and, treasonable act, of colluding-to-sell-a-national-election. Simple.

The question for the NDC to ponder over is: Do all those  high-ups, in Ghanaian officialdom, who were allegedly bribed (according to bush-telegraph sources),  to sell the 2020  elections, not have ill-treated minions, serving them in their offices, anaaa? Hmmm, eyeasem, ooooo...

Furthermore, do those ill-treated minions, not know lots of  top-secret-things-paaapa, anaaaa, and will they not willingly let the cat out of the bag, so to speak, if they knew about the existence of a well-endowed reward-fund, set up by the wealthiest NDC supporters, specifically to handsomely reward all those who provide credible information, about the stealing of the 2020 elections? Yoooooo...

There is no question that such a strategy,  by the NDC, will help secure convictions, in OECD member-nations' law courts. That is because those ill-treated minions, will happily sing, paaaa - faced with the prospect of also being in a position to finally get rich too: like their arrogant and disdainful bosses. I believe it is called the Adidigya-betrayal-syndrome, Massa. Simple. Public demos  are old hat in such situations, oooo, wai. Yoooooo...
