Hello Gentlemen,
Many thanks, indeed, for all the support you offer insignificant people like us - by giving us the platform to interact with the world. It will please you to know that Amy Peake, responded positively, to my quick note to her, the day after you published it. Cool.
The three ladies and I thank you for making that finally happen - after persisting in chasing that long-cherished-dream, after three long years of trying.
As it happens, Amy's Loving Humanity NGO, will ship one unit, of their sanitary-pad-factory-in-a- shipping-container, to the three ladies - if we can get taxes on them removed, as well as find a freight forwarder/clearing agent, to arrange for the shipment from the UK: and clear it from Tema Port upon its arrival in Ghana.
Well, the good news couldn't have come at a more propitious time - as the government of President Akufo-Addo, apparently intends to remove all the duties, on sanitary pads. We thank God Almighty for small mercies.
Perhaps the former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, the forever-affable and helpful Hon. Carlos Ahenkora, might help, if approached - and agree to liase with Amy's team to help get the container from the UK to Tema Port?
Just as a matter of interest, would your hardworking Editorial Team, be willing to assist the three ladies, by taking that up and contacting Hon. Carlos Ahenkora on their behalf - perhaps as one of Modernghana.com's CSR assistance-initiatives: and, by so doing, help ameliorate the plight of the poorest of the poor, smongst the female population at Gomoa Buduburam's Camp Liberia?
Thanks in advance - and peace and blessings to all of you. Do continue staying safe!
Kind regards,
Kofi.
