Ghana's Best Young Entrepreneurs Have The Potential To Be Dominant Players In Africa

Every now and then, one comes across extraordinary young Ghanaians, who are true nation builders - in every sense of that most inspiring of phrases: which resonates with those whose purpose in life is to work assiduosly for the common good.

One's faith in the enterprise Ghana, is always renewed, whenever one interacts with such incredibly talented young people.

What distinguishes them from the rest of their peers, is their can-do spirit, and their sense of optimism - regardless of how dysfunctional the system is at any given point in time, and how tough economic conditions generally are, in the country.

They are the brightest and best of their generation - and it is upon their shoulders that our homeland Ghana's future rests.

Every government must pay attention to such brilliant young people - and constantly interact with them: whatever field of human endeavour they might be engaged in.

Some of them could easily become global leaders, in their areas of specialisation, if encouraged.

Above all, it is the entrepreneurs amongst them, who will help transform Ghana into a prosperous society, in which those willing to work, will always find employment.

Years ago, I used to write a weekly column in Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere's newspaper, The Independent, entitled "Young Entrepreneurs."

It was a way of encouraging clever young entrepreneurs by highlighting their businesses - and helping them grow their customer-base that way.

I saw to it that it became part of the paper's CSR. It was my widow's mite contribution to Ghanaian society. It was valuable publicity provided for the mostly financially-challenged young entrepreneurs we featured - and was always provided on a strictly pro bono basis for that reason.

A few days ago, in search of a suitable company, to publish this blog, as a series of books, I met Mr. Samuel Agyin Ansah, the owner of a printing company, SpeedPrints Ghana Limited - with branches at Abeka Lapaz and Galilea Market, Amanfro, Kasoa - which has some of the most modern equipment in Ghana's printing industry.

Dynamic and charismatic, the unassuming and charming thirty-year old, who is known to many simply as Nana Agyin, also owns and runs a logistics company, La Vita Ghana Limited (Tel: 0302234235), with its own fleet of trucks.

He also has stakes in other businesses, including part-ownership of a football team, Young Wise FC. He has achieved a lot in his young life.

Such was Nana Agyin's magnetism, and so inspiring the story of his business life, thus far, that I felt that I had to highlight him in today's posting - to serve as an inspiration for other brilliant young people aspiring to become successful entrepreneurs too.

Young readers of this blog, can look up Mr. Samuel Agyin Ansah's professional profile, on LinkedIn.com.

All the political parties in Ghana must regularly interact with successful young entrepreneurs - so that based on those interactions they can fashion the right pro-business policies for Ghana's young generation of businesspeople.

Such is their brilliance that indeed some of Ghana's best  young entrepreneurs, such as Mr. Samuel Agyin Ansah, have the potential to dominate the sectors in which they operate, right across the whole of the  continent of Africa.
