I refer to your www.ghanaweb.com general news web page article of 6th October, 2008 entitled: “Board Chairman advocates decentralization of GNA".

Hmmm, Ghana - eyeasem oo! Talk about a square peg in a round hole. By definition a news agency gathers news from many sources, in its niche market - and makes that available to the world. Does this digital-age media Neanderthal not understand that he will be destroying a business model particularly suited to news gathering in a world made small by ICT?

This genius, who is yet another beneficiary of the unbridled nepotism of our "hypocrite-in-chief", is a typical example of the insular and narrow-minded masters of the universe, into whose hands Nkrumah's Ghana has fallen - and who worship daily at the cult of the mediocre.

Precisely what does he seek to do - destroy yet another legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah? Have they not done enough harm to mother Ghana, already, as it is? Do they not know when to stop? Talk about a narrow worldview!

Perhaps, he foresees a golden future when the Ashanti regional office, transformed into a global titan, if his madcap idea is approved, will become a powerhouse of news gathering in Africa, whiles actively competing with a newly-independent Juaso branch office, for business from CNN editors: seeking news about the relics of our pre-colonial feudal past - to see if they still keep slaves and engage in human sacrifice? Pure nonsense on bamboo stilts!

May God bless and protect our homeland Ghana, always. Long live freedom! Long live Ghana!
