Freedomunited.org/Steve Hoesche: 14 Days of Focused Action Against Slavery
14 Days of Focused Action Against Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Dear Reader,
Starting April 23, Freedom United is hosting Freedom Fortnight, 14 days of action launched last year by Tate Johnston, author of Everyday Abolitionist.
We are inviting you – and people new to the global anti-slavery movement – to get involved!
Over two weeks, you will receive enlightening information alongside a simple daily challenge. You’ll get to meet people, organizations and initiatives making a difference – including some of our partners.
Join Freedom Fortnight here!
This event aims to help those interested in – but also intimidated by – the fight against modern slavery, to celebrate progress, connect with others who care & find out specific ways they can get involved.
You’ll be given opportunities to commit to working to end all forms of modern slavery, and to find a place to plug in with an organization working in the space as a volunteer, fundraiser or advocate.
We’d love to use this event to add even more people to our community working to fight modern slavery.
If you are on social media, please also join our Thunderclap to help raise awareness.
By joining the Thunderclap and posting a one-time message from your social media accounts, you’ll help us reach more people who are only just now learning about human trafficking.
Through Freedom Fortnight we can help these people move from awareness to positive action – the kind of action our community has been faithfully supporting for years.
In solidarity,
Steve, Katina and the Freedom United Team
