Timothy Hill was spotted giving speed cameras the finger
A driver caught swearing at speed cameras three times in less than a week has been jailed for eight months after investigating police found a radar jammer fitted in his car.
Company director Timothy Hill, 67, was recorded by authorities making “rude gestures” to mobile speed cameras on the A19 in Yorkshire in December, the BBC reports.

Police were unable to register the speed of his vehicle as Hill had fitted the white Range Rover with a radar jammer, the broadcaster reports.
However, they were able to trace him to his home in Grassington, North Yorkshire, through his personalised number plate, says Metro.
When he discovered he was under investigation, Hill reportedly threw the radar jammer “into a river”. He later admitted to using the device.
Appearing at Teesside Crown Court this week, Hill admitted four counts of perverting the course of justice. He was given a one-year driving ban along with the prison sentence, The Sun reports.
Commenting on the case, North Yorkshire Police traffic constable Andrew Forth said: “if you want to attract our attention, repeatedly gesturing at police camera vans with your middle finger while you’re driving a distinctive car fitted with a laser jammer is an excellent way to do it.”
“Drivers who fit laser jammers may mistakenly feel smug about getting one over on the police”, Forth added, “but we can tell if motorists are using these devices and we will always endeavour to bring them to justice.”
