Good evening! I'm writing this article from beyond the grave, because Lady Gaga's Met Gala look has ended my life.
The pop icon, who is a co-host of tonight's soirée, had not one, not two, but four outfits on the red carpet—all orchestrated by her friend, designer Brandon Maxwell. Gaga started her ascent of the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps wearing a billowing, hot pink gown while flanked by men carrying umbrellas. This then morphed into a black princess gown reminiscent of what she wore to the 2019 Oscars. She followed this up with a pink minidress, which she accessorized with large sunglasses and a chunky, nineties-style cell phone. The last look was a black bikini and fishnet stockings, matched with a pair of Gaga's signature sky-high boots. Considering the theme is "Camp: Notes on Fashion," she nailed it.

Twitter, naturally, is erupting over the performance Gaga gave on the red carpet. The Met Gala is famous for bold, daring fashion and extravagance, but serving multiple looks during an entrance takes things to the next level. Leave it to Lady Gaga to blaze the trail, though. I'm so glad I decided to stan her 11 years ago.

Gaga teed up her Met Gala appearance on Instagram over the weekend. "Met Gala here we come. Destination 'Camp,' so excited to co-chair Anna’s event. #MetGala #MarcJacobs (and I didn’t shave my legs for 4 days which really completes the look)," Gaga posted alongside a photo of herself on a private jet. Little did we know what she had in store for us.
Gaga's been a fashion trailblazer ever since she bursted onto the music scene back in 2008. She and her team, dubbed the Haus of Gaga, have been putting together custom looks for her throughout the years. "I need fashion for my music, and I need music for my fashion," she said during an interview back in 2010.

Speaking of music, Gaga is expected to release her sixth studio album some time this year. In March, she combatted rumors she was pregnant by cheekily tweeting, "Rumors I'm pregnant? Yeah, I'm pregnant with #LG6."
