Fsdinternational.org/Lisa Khun: Universal Health Care is the Goal

Dear Reader,

Health for all. It’s as simple as that.

In this, the 70th anniversary year of the World Health Organization, universal coverage is the goal. As part of World Health Day, April 7, 2018, the WHO is calling upon leaders to make healthcare available for all--without having to endure financial hardship.

People in much of the world (including the United States), do not have access to high-quality healthcare. Even when it is available, it is too expensive and all too often leads to financial ruin. That’s why building pathways to good health is among our most important goals.

This year, we, together with our partners, are bringing good health to more people than ever in the global communities we serve. Throughout the month of March, leading up to World Health Day, we’ll be celebrating the ways that our partners are building healthier communities by addressing the root causes of health problems.

Join us in building healthy lives:

Volunteer at one of our seven international sites! Your professional skills can change a community using our asset-based community development model.

Help us bring health and prosperity that sustains for years to come. Your donation will support a wide array of programs enhancing global health.

The FSD Program Directors from Bolivia and Uganda will be in San Francisco April 4 - 9. Contact us to plan a speaking engagement at your work, school, or home.

I look forward to working with you this spring to bring health to more people than ever before!

With thanks,
Lisa
