Will Hon. Otiko Afisa Djaba's Star Ever Shine Again?

Hon. Otiko Afisa Djaba showed her class as a long-view-strategist, when she turned down the sop to her, which her purported appointment as Ghana's ambassador to Italy, apparently by the president, represented. Despite being a very effective and dynamic minister, alas, she was hated and despised in equal measure,  by the small cabal of powerful philanderers and misogynists at the presidency, and in the upper echelons of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Pity.

Many of her admirers (this blog included), are pleased that she shamed her misogynistic detractors, by her dignified and resolute refusal to participate in the hypocritical pink-elephant-in-the-room charade, so beloved of our mostly self-serving political class - fashioned by those dreadful people who worked so hard to remove someone who played such a crucial role in bringing the NPP to power,  and subsequently proved to be one of the most effective ministers in President Akufo-Addo's government.

Finally, her subtle public response to her unjustifiable removal from office, shows her mettle as a political operator, and illustrates perfectly, the strength of  character that enables millions of Ghanaian women to hold families together, regardless of the pressures they face daily, whiles many of them at the same time also shoulder the burden of keeping  the real economy ticking. Shame on all those amoral ingrates who plotted her downfall. This particular Yaa Asantewaa's star will shine again. No question. Hmmm, Oman Ghana - eyeasem o: asem kesie ebeba debi ankasa
