Irony of ironies: A plutocratic-kleptocracy led by a personally incorruptible President

Dear critical-reader, life is indeed full of ironies: Who would have thought that Ghana's 4th Republic, a people-centred democracy,  whose  birthing was guided by idealistic Nkrumahist revolutionaries, determined to ensure that sovereignty would permanently  reside in the masses, would one day be hijacked, and ruthlessly exploited for personal gain, by a powerful few, in an unprecedented kleptocratic friends-and-family corruption-riddled regime of arrogant-pillagers?

Who would thought, dear critical-reader, when it began its tenure in January 2021, that a regime dominted by the  progeny of Dr. J. B. Danquah, elected to power in December 2020, in a regime led by his descendants' most Nkrumahist scion, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,  whom Ghanaians believed to be personally incorruptible, would eventually  bankrupt Mother Ghana, as a result of unparalleled
state-capture  looting, on a scale never seen before, since Ghanaians rid themselves of the British occupiers of their country,  in March, 1957?

Who would have thought, dear critical-reader,  in January, 2021, that under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's leadership, far from state-capture rent-seeking elite-grand-larceny being finally reigned in, and halted, it would rather turn out to be the most deceitful and corrupt  government-of-the-day, ever, to be elected  to power, in the entire post-independence history of our bountiful, beautiful and mostly-peaceful homeland, Ghana, whose endless smoke-and-mirrors public procurement insider-deal-making, and self-serving borrowing-spree, would eventually bankrupt Mother Ghana? Such is life: full of ironies - a plutocratic-kleptocracy led by a personally incorruptible President.
