West African militaries: Overthrow any leader who orders an invasion of Niger

One is pretty confident that one speaks for hundreds of millions of young Africans, across the continent, when one says openly that one's prayer to God Almighty, every day, is that every African leader who serves the interests of foreign powers, ought to be overthrown by their militaries. Today. Not tomorrow. Case closed. Full stop.

As it happens, fortuitously, we are actually on the cusp of seeing the long longed-for African Renaissance, with the launching of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the world's biggest free trade area, in terms of participating nations.

The statistics are stunning: The AfCFTA is the largest free trade area in the world, measured by the number of countries participating. The pact connects 1.3 billion people across 55 countries with a combined gross domestic product (GDP) valued at US$3.4 trillion. A new global power is being birthed.

The era of foreign meddling in our affairs, and their ruthless pillaging of Africa's natural resources, must now be brought to a swift end, and consigned to the dustbin of history. Simple.

It is in that light, that we must address the leaders of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), now busy, incredibly, planning to invade Niger on France's behalf, in effect, dear critical-reader. Unbelievable. Monstrous. Abominable. Unpardonable.

Before embarking on that treacherous stab in back, of Nigeriens, the ECOWAS leaders would be wise to consult Italian Premier, Giorgia Meloni, first, before sacrificing the lives of their under-resourced and underpaid militaries, in their plan to invade Niger.

If they consult Italy's plainspeaking far-right Prime Minister, Ms. Giorgia Meloni, they will swiftly abandon that foolish and very dangerous idea, which will, as sure as day follows night, lead to needless death-and-destruction, across Niger.

After consulting with Ms. Giorgia Meloni, they will return to their home countries, outraged instead, that France, a nation sucking out as much as US$500 billion, annually from Africa, through unconscionable agreements, such as that which has enabled France to loot uranium from Niger for decades, had had the gall to try and manipulate them into embarking on an unjust war against its egregiously-pillaged-victim, Niger.

That is why one's prayer daily now, is that any ECOWAS leader who orders their nation's military to invade Niger, is overthrown and condemned as a fifth-columnist-lackey of arrogant French imperialism. Enough is enough. Haaba.
