Greenpeace: The Georgia court has issued a ruling transferring the Resolute v Greenpeace lawsuit to the Northern District of California

Dear Kofi

Some good news!

The United States Court for the Southern District of Georgia agreed with us - stating that Resolute failed to explain how Greenpeace’s outreach to Resolute and its Shareholders in a meeting in Georgia amounted to fraud or extortion. It issued a ruling transferring the Resolute v Greenpeace lawsuit to the Northern District of California, as Resolute failed to demonstrate that the case should be heard in Georgia[1].

This is good news and our hope is that Resolute will come to its senses, stops bullying environmental advocates and makes genuine moves to protect Canada’s boreal forests.
